The campsite is lovely! It’s very relaxed - self-check in and out. The toilets and shower are proper facilities and are very clean, and the reception room has a communal sink and kettle. The campsite is very very small, but I’d class this as a good thing as it means there’s never much noise, and you are never far from the toilet block. The location is great: it’s a 2 minute walk from the beach (it’s not the worlds nicest beach but there’s a nicer beach a little way down), and there’s a lovely coastal cycle path on top of the hill just above the beach which is a lovely 20 minute walk to Birchington in one direction, and to Minnis Bay in the other. I’d recommend bringing bikes, as, whilst the walk into Birchington is lovely, it’s quite a way away if you want to grab something from the shop, and it could be a very easy trip on a bike. Overall, the campsite is good, if only maybe a bit basic, and is a bargain price - would recommend highly! My only issue would be that it felt almost a little too informal in the sense that we never met the owner of the campsite at any point in our stay, and also the “reception” is a bit gross (it’s just a glorified wooden box with some mouldy chairs in it), but you don’t really even have to go in there.

Loved staying here on our first motorhome trip. Dog friendly , clean toilet block , electric hookup. Just behind coastal trail...one way to reculver, other to minnis Bay and margate. Beautiful big skies over countryside and sea. Quiet but friendly site. Intending be regulars!

We were 2 cyclists with tents and arrived 4pm on Sat 14 May. Site allocated to us was fine, we found some abandoned chairs and made a small table from Sainsbury box. At midnight we were woken by group of people singing songs from the Lion King. Badly. No one around to ask them to keep quiet. Toilets and shower clean but only 2 showers for whole campsite. Would appreciate hot water for washing up in sink in reception area. No visible manager around to keep an eye on fires (there was a fire going at 11pm with group of people who later became the lion king choir). Appreciated the campsite as a mid point for our cycle but thought more care should be taken.

We arrived on bicycles and managed to get our own field for the tent. It was lovely, the blackcurrants were ready, swift’s and swallows zoomed about overhead and we were visited by a fox during the starry night. There is a little cabin near the entrance with a fridge and a place to charge your electric things up too.
