Liked: The woods and marshlands are beautiful and the very friendly host and family were fantastic. We were allowed to choose our tent which was new.

Disliked: Unfortunately, the bathrooms weren't clean and the owner's love for repair and collecting cars, furniture etc. shows as a lot is simply scattered around the woods.

Liked: Pitches were very big and a good distance between them and the tree swings on the pitches were a added bonus.
We had a brilliant time exploring with the kids, feeding the ducks that came to visit our tent.
The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful.
We will definitely be going back!

Liked: Lots of choice of pitches. Chose a secluded area. Felt like we were wild camping but had everything we needed.
Outdoor showers although there is an indoor one if you prefer. Nice kitchen area with fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster
Mat and his son super friendly nothing was too much trouble. Took all our camping stuff to the pitch in there Jeep. Always around for a chat.

Disliked: Wished we had stayed longer

Liked: Excellent Host; Rural with no vehicles next to tents; Real camping - basic; Large pitches

Disliked: Mosquitoes - close to stagnant water so got bit a lot on 1st day. Once realised how bad it can be, covered ourselves in repellent and all good! Wish someone had mentioned it beforehand but still 5*

Liked: Was a different experience for me and children as it In a remote location and in woods. But overall the kids and myself had a good time.
Great hospitality and the owners are willing to help in whatever you needed. Also There is use of a small kitchen, There is an area to socialise and have a fire. The Little shop that's there came in handy.
I did notice a few fruit trees around even in the outdoor showers. There was grape vines which was Different but nice. There is a cornfield which you are allowed to pick and eat. Children love that experience and enjoyed the fresh, cooked corn.

The camping grounds were tidy, enough considering it is wild camping (somewhat, lol) and in the middle of woods. There was no rubbish around.

Disliked: Not really a dislike myself but some may see it as. I understand the assessment lol.
The facilities are self-clean. All of the products are close to the facilities, so you are able to actually clean up your own mess.

Liked: Everything about this site. Myself and my 11 year old we're bike packing from Canterbury to the site then returned in the morning. Wanted to wild camp with a few extras and this is the place! Undisturbed glade with fire and picnic bench, 4 min walk to outdoor shower and other facilities should you want them. Plenty of swans and ducks and other wildlife. Very little, if any, light pollution so great for star gazing. This was great value and the owners were lovely and helpful. 10 minute cycle ride to Grove Ferry Inn for dinner. We'll be back!

Disliked: Nothing. If you were super fussy it might not be for you, but treat it like a unique, wild camp experience and you'll not be disappointed!

Great family run campsite set in the Kent woods just outside Canterbury.
Decent outside showers with one inside shower, shared kitchen, shop and common area.
You can't park directly by your tent, but the family will drive down your gear.

I couldnt be happier with our 1 night stay. So Friendly and welcoming. We turned up expecting to be staying in the camper. My fault for not having read the website correctly. Matt found us a space for the camper and found a glamping pod so both families were close together. We loved the walks through the site and kids loved the woods with the swings and the pond with fish and frogs. Next time we will stay in the wild camping woods. Thanks again to Matt and his son for ensuring we had a great night away.
