A slightly strange experience, not your usual Campsite. That said, staff friendly and efficient, facilities good, and great location for Thorpe Park, Windsor and surrounding areas. Two pubs in walking distance. Book early to avoid disappointment.

Stayed two nights, facilities were clean, the water was warm and the camp was well organised. Like any campsite there was noise at night from other campers, children on their first night away can be a challenge but they calm down.
I have seen comments from other campers about the wardens, I thought they were great, helpful and friendly enough, but I do get that they both give off that head teacher vibe of those who don't tolerant fools gladly. (I mean this as a compliment) My advice is, if you want to get on with them, show them respect and don't be a fool. It seems clear to me that they want a site that is safe for children to run around and where people get on with having a nice holiday.

Very disappointed!!
I parked outside and called to see if I could get in and the lady said I couldn't leave the campsite until 9 which wouldn't be any good for me so that's fine.
I then asked if I could pay a reasonable fee to use the shower facilities.
Bear in mind it was 40°, she said no and was very abrupt about her answer!!

Just stayed 2 nights when coming back from Newquay to break up journey and visited Legoland. This was one of those places I was just intrigued to see other peoples reviews after my stay. I don’t normally write reviews as it’s normally down to own personal experiences and may not reflect your stay. The two ladies who run it seem nice enough. The site is very uneven with the old sleeping policeman to keep your speed down however the track around the site does that in its own right. The actual plots seem flat enough without causing to much of a problem. The electric hook up wasn’t upto much as our kettle kept tripping the electrics- admittedly it was a household one and not a camping one. The kids play area was ok as long as it wasn’t wooden as everything that was seems to be deteriorated. Didn’t use chemical waste area but seemed ok. No grey water disposal- just empty onto the ground. In fairness the grass needed a good water but feel that the next person who camps on my plot doesn’t really want to see the remains of last nights dinner as minor as it maybe. The showers seem clean and showers nice and hot. Occasionally got a whiff of a sweet herb smell if the wind was blowing in the right direction and my 6yr old kept on saying “that’s the smell again daddy- what is it?” Which I replied “someone’s growing some ‘erb” which was amusing. Bikes are not allowed to be riden on site due to safety however a few wooden apparatus in the childrens play area are a “claim up” waiting to happen and due to no vehicles onsite unnecessarily I couldn’t see a problem- but rules are rules. The site location is great for legoland and Thorpe park and right on the banks of the Thames. Feel the site however needs a bit of money spent on it as feel nothing has been done since the 90s. I did read a review about the biting ants left 3 yrs ago and confirm that they are still present. After
coming back after a day at Legoland found an Army of them making themselves at home with the missus frantically trying to swat them with the tea towel- which did amuse me until
she turned her attention on me for laughing at her. On the whole I probably wouldn’t stay here again and if some investment was poored into the site I believe it would be a goldmine due to its location.

The owner is quite militant and not at all friendly. Moaning about everything. Didn’t allow us showers after swimming as we were half an hour after checking out time. No need for that. Had to drive home damp.
Nice location though on river Thames. Facilities ok too. Make sure you park in their car park and not the one next door which you have to pay for. Not sure why you can’t keep car by your tent?

Arrived and was met by an EXTREMELY rude old woman called Maggie, who was obviously in a foul mood before we opened our mouthed. no help what so ever, flat out refused any entry and told us the half empty site was closed due to no room, even though there clearly was a mass of spaces. Actively turned away business in a very rude way and said that she and the warden had no control over bookings or website details. Why would any business want this type of welcome for customers.
We have a 21 plate motorhome, 2 normal people, not like we were turning up in a scrap heap or towing a 1970s caravan that was falling to pieces.
Horrible woman as a gate keeper. Avoid.

Shocking condition of a campsite. Toilet block was absolutely disgusting and clearly wasn’t cleaned more than once a week. Booked in to the site well in advance and was quoted £70ish and when we arrived she said it was over £100 as they had noted the dates wrong and asked for more money which was an issue in itself because they only accepted cash.

The site was nearly empty and they were militant about where we placed our tents (which was in a part of ground that was just mud and not grass). Owners were extremely rude to us on arrival when politely asking where I can park the car. Which is in an obscure car park miles away from our tent.

The site was blessed with the stench of the old devils lettuce as well so that was nice. Right under a flight path as well which understandably isn’t under their control but worth bearing in mind.

Honestly for the price of the site vs the quality of what you get it’s really not great. Ignoring the attitude of the owners. Would absolutely not recommend.

Good value for money. Clean shower block, wash room etc. Simple but friendly site. Amazing ladies that run the site. Highly recommend to everyone. I've loved my stay here
