Fantastic site - brilliant location and beautiful scenery. The tents are a real treat, with candle lighting, cookware including a very handy and heavy cast iron pan, and a wood burner. The tents even have a toilet inside so there's no need to escape to the shower block at any point. We had a lovely couple of nights, cooked every meal outdoors on an open fire, and woke with the birds at sunrise. Any time we need an escape we'll be heading back to Penhein.

Just got home from a wonderful stay at Penhein. I will definitely be going back. It was so well equipped & all the little touches made it a whole new experience, from the campfire to the amazing shower block (with freestanding bath & candles!) to the fresh flowers everywhere. The children had the best time on the tyre swing & playing in the woodland & meadow & an amazing day doing bushcraft, den building & fire making whilst us mums had an amazing massage with Joanna! It was amazing, thank you.

My husband and I recently enjoyed a lovely stay at Penhein Glampsite at the end of September. The facilities were perfect, each tent has a wood burner, beds with fresh linen, crockery, an eating area and a flushing toilet! James was very welcoming and thorough with his explanation of the site and facilities. The location was beautiful, amongst the trees and a stunning view of the Severn estuary. Our 3 year old will never forget his first camping experience, a real fire and the amazing adventure playground. We will be back soon and intend to bring friends and family, it was magical, thank you Helen and James!

Great place. Lovely luxury tents, and shower block..felt exceptionally clean and covid safety was top of agenda. Beautiful views over meadow. Nice welcome pack and Pantry had lovely little bits to buy. Recommend a drive to White castle we had lovely morning there. See pics from campsite meadow.

We had a wonderful, peaceful two night stay at Penhein. The tent itself was beautiful, clean, well equipped and surprisingly warm - we didn't need the log burner on either night, just a hot water bottle. Although we cooked using the fire pit, the cheat's kitchen was very useful (particularly the kettle!). The site is huge - lots of nice walks; our six year old particularly enjoyed the stream. We will certainly be back, especially as it's less than an hour from Bristol.

Absolutely magical place to spend a long weekend. The yurt-like tents are finished to a very high standard and the site is in a beautiful setting. Lots of local walks to do, cooking by the camp fire or just staying cosy by the log burner. No electric in the tents, but the candle light adds to the atmosphere. There's a little playground, hot showers and well stocked communal kitchen too.

We’re a family of four with 5 & 7 year olds. Penhein is a lovely place to stay which meets all our needs. The children get to run freely, play with sticks, rope swings and make friends. My husband gets to play with fire. I get to snuggle up by said fire with a book and relax.
It’s a little oasis of nature, but a luxurious one. The alachighs (probably haven’t spelt that correctly) are cosy, clean and well equipped, and the showers are lovely. We have stayed twice now, two years running and I’m already looking forward to next year’s stay.

We have just booked our fourth trip to this glampsite as it's by far our favourite. The tents are absolutely beautiful, the shower block immaculately clean and everything that you could think of is provided for. Our kids love it here as they can roam free and we love sitting by the fire and gazing out over the fields. Last time it was so hot we went canoeing which was great fun and we also hung out at the stream at the bottom of the farm which was brilliant. James and Helen have always been super helpful and charming and I look forward to being there again.
