Lovely homely campsite. The kids had a ball. The owners are helpful and welcoming. The area is magnificent. Pitches are really well spaced out, fires are aloud, 5 mins in the car to beautiful beaches.
Facilities are basic but clean and more than ample. We loved it.

So it's unique being in a little wooden yurt with a real wood fire to heat the yurt. It's about a 5 minute walk from the car pack along a snaking slate skinny path ( the bad rain had made this into a sloppy slippy mini river ) . The yurt was basic but had what was needed. Make sure you take your own wood and kindling as the wood pieces there do not fit sadly. We drove to b&m by Bangor for cheap wood and kindling as didn't know where else to look. The compost toilet is down a steep slippy path and the wood is starting to go making it uneven under your feet climbing the steps compost bin had not been emptied in a very long time and very full. It advertises use of showers / pigs to see / books and electric up at main farm but we didn't see any of that. Their was the little shop but not the most helpful when we asked could daughter see the pigs we were told no longer there . No other information given by that lady. Called owner and no answer understand if busy as working farm but call was never returned. Hey ho back to basics weekend we stayed in the yurt reading and playing games with the fire on. Stripped all bedding to check out and was not impressed with the state of pillows and dirty stained mattresses. The mattresses have covers on that look like they have never seen a washing machine 🤢.

To top it off it has a useless lock on the door which doesn't have anything for the lock to go in. Not the safest for kids and meant couldn't leave anything in there either.

The fairy lights and the glass circle roof in the centre were a nice touch. We liked the family time of games and a coffee Infront of the wooden fire.
Had a sink outside and an outside shower( not brave enough to use)

Over all for the price you would expect it to be much more

No information given on where you could and couldn't walk no contact from owners at all during stay to ask if things were ok etc.

It was worth a try for a one time visit and would maybe be different in summer but it needs some attention before we would return.

First guests in the newly built Longhouse. So comfy and cozy. Like camping without the cold! Toasty warm wood burner and indoor kitchen.

Excellent place to spend holidays.Kid friendly. A small note to travelers who travel by public transport. It is better to book taxi services as public transport is limited in this area.

We've been to lots of campsites over the years but none quite so unique as Henbant. They've really got something special going on here.

We were lucky enough to be here with perfect August weather and were treated to simultaneous views of Snowdon and the sea plus beautiful home baked sourdough still warm from the oven.

It speaks volumes that although we planned to walk to the sea, we never actually left the site as all the kids were having too much fun collecting eggs, meeting cows and pigs and exploring every nook and cranny (not even possible as there are so many!)

We were in our van but Henbant also has some really special buildings dotted around. Our friends were in the Longhouse which is perfect for indulging your Game of Thrones or Viking fantasy's 😎

Lots of the tent pitches don't reveal themselves until you go for a wander as they are hidden away in cool little hollows amongst the gorse.

A note of caution for those of a delicate toilet/shower disposition. There are plenty of toilets but mostly of the composting variety but in truth they add to the back to nature feel of the place.

Thank you to Jenny and Matt and their crew of volunteers (lots of whom came for a week and never left...)

If you love the picturesque views and biodiversity of wild camping, with the luxury of running water, a shower, flushable toilet and compost toilets, plus an amazing, unique farm shop, this is the place for you. We were secluded enough from other campers, and the volunteers and owners were there if we needed them, but trusted campers to roam freely on their land. Such a breathtaking place, with really kind and considerate people! I couldn't recommend them more, will definitely visit again :)

Just returned from this stunning location, nestled between the Irish sea and Snowdonia. On a clear day we could see Ireland! Really didn't want to leave. Wish we could've stayed another few days.

Hosts really welcoming. Facilities stripped back but ideal for anyone wanting to come away from it all. Shower and toilets all clean and working.

Whilst the weather wasn't windy, hard ground pegs are needed as the soil becomes quite rocky.

We will be returning again!
