28 State Cars

Awful place to get to using public transport.
However I made the journey to view a 1995 Pontiac Firebird described as a 11900 mile mint condition car.

I can only say my interpretation of mint condition is totally different to that of the seller.

The underneath of the car was filthy..
Considering this car was for sale you expect it to have been cleaned..

The road wheels were also suffering from kerb damage...

I left without even speaking to the seller.

All that said. He did have some nice looking corvettes for sale.

I bought a BMW 1 series sport from Richard and I couldn’t fault him at all from walking into the shop and first looking at another BMW but he quickly told me that it was a category listed and shown me the one I now own even telling me that there’s a little dint in the car and he would get it sorted before I have it and that it needs a new tire. I went home and thought about it at first but he understood as I called back and said yes I want it we was backward and forwards on the phone he was reassuring me every little detail regarding it. I picked up the car and have never looked back from it he even sorted my MOT and Service cannot recommend Richard and his company enough to anyone! Future purchase pending… haha

We have just bought a Corvette Stingray Pace Car from 28 State Cars and they made the whole experience a pleasure. Both Jill and Richard were extremely patient and understanding with my endless questions and concerns. Richard rang us the day after the car was delivered to make sure we were happy and if there was anything we needed to have any additional help or advice on. First rate company will definitely go back when/if we change our car again

I would not recommend using 28 states to anyone after finding out that the car we had purchased had been written off before we bought it from there. This had not been disclosed and was not on the V5 document. When I called back to discuss this with Richard and his wife they were rude, derogatory and very unhelpful - very different to the welcoming and helpful couple they had portrayed at our initial meeting. If you have bought a car from here I suggest you speak to your insurance company if you have any concerns and you will be offered legal guidance . I am very sad as this had been my dream car.if I could use 0 stars I would do so.

We've just purchased a BMW convertible form 28 State, I noticed on the Ebay listing that it was Cat D recorded, which probably explained why it was a good £3k cheaper than any similar car for sale.
I checked the car online myself, even finding a link to the original salvage report, nothing I saw put me off. I phoned Richard and he was quite upfront about the car even mentioning a few marks on the bodywork that needed attention, we went through to view the car, took it for a drive, did the deal and fetched it home. My wife and I both found Richard and Jill to be very helpfull, up front about anything we asked and a pleasure to deal with. Yes the car is Cat D recorded but we've bought a top spec car with £1000's worth of factory extras for a bargain price.
