Awful, rude arrogant, unprofessional. Ordered a car 5 days in advance for a 9am drop off 10min drive from there premises. I get a voicemail on the day while dropping my car off. They won't be able to deliver the car till 11. I contacted them they can't do anything about it, no suggestions no offer of help at all. I them arrange my own transport from the delivery address to home. I then contacted them to let them no I would no longer be at the original drop off point for the car as they would be 2 hrs late and then have them e extremely rude about me changing the delivery address. Save your stress and use anyone else so unprofessional. I am shocked they haven't been shutdown by the franchise!

Appalling customer service- do not use! Contacted 40 minutes before vehicle delivered to be told a van would not be available when one was supposed to be supplied. Collection even worse- 3 days after collection supposed to occur vehicle still here. Impossible to get through to branch- even customer service couldn’t get through. Someone phoned and pretended to be on way to collect on third evening but never showed and wouldn’t answer phone. Wasted three days waiting in and hours on phone. Appalling customer service- no one will take responsibility for their branch- not how a large company should be run. Avoid.

Booking was easy enough, car dropped off on time.
Car was fine just as I need, 5 seats used over the weekend for a family get together.
It all falls down when picking the car back up, I paid for a service and did not get it.
Car to be picked up Monday evening, did not turn up within the time frame, phone up, get told you need to speak to the branch press 3 then 2 and hangs up, phone again - get told they did not have enough people will pick up in the morning and hangs up on me again. phone up in the morning cannot get hold of anyone in the branch, finally get hold of someone and they tell me leave the key in a safe place, I tell them what the place is and thats it. you would think but no.
Wife calls the car is still here and there is a note through the door saying we came to pick up the car sorry you were not home!!!!!
Phone up again, get told talk to the branch, they hang up on me.
Work from home the next day get hold of someone again tells me contact the branch, I say they are not picking up, then get told you were supposed to drop it off, that is not what I paid for, the branch does not know this I will e-mail them now to get them to call you and hangs up on me! wait till 10 am no call back. take the keys to the branch in Maidstone.
"Can I help you" hand the key over "this car is on my drive which you should of picked up on monday evening" "where?" "dont make me repeat myself please" another guy comes out of the back and asks for more details, the first one goes and hides in the managers office and closes the blinds (Coward) second guy apologizes for the mess and will sort the issue forth with.
I wont be using Europcar again, thats for sure.

Absolute worst experience with a hire company ever! First we book for a Mercedes sprinter and when we turn off they give us a Volkswagen crafter then when we inspected the van we had realised the stereo has sunken into the dash and there was more damage then noted down, then half way to our destination a alert comes onto the dash saying it was over filled with engine oil and when we got the recovery out the AA said the pads only had a 1000 miles left on them even though europcar and told us it had just been serviced and after a waste of time we got a replacement vehicle which was half the size and when returned after all the trouble I didn’t even receive my full deposit back AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Awful experience. Booked online for a Sunday pick up, was advised I needed to wait for confirmation from the branch they would open out of hours on a Sunday, this was confirmed the following day by email. Arrived to collect the van and it was closed. Called customer services and they said the branch was closed. I said I know and paid extra for out of hours collection which they stated they could see on my booking but they had no van for me even though they had taken payment a few days before. Awful customer service, definitely do not even bother trying to use. Go to JJ Rentals - much better!!

Do not use Europcar.
I had a message 2 days before my booking to tell me the pick up location had changed. I could not get to the new location. I tried calling the branch regularly but they did not answer. The central Customer Service team are useless and cannot give any assistance or help.
I had to cancel my booking and book with another company. They charged me a cancellation fee even though the reason for cancelling was their fault.
Use Enterprise they are much better.

DO NOT USE

I don’t know whether it’s the manager in charge but here is what I’ve been through

Booked a car for 5 days. They took £200 and confirmed booking

Get there the next day to be told they don’t have any cars for me

Said they rang me. I had no messages or emails

Did not offer me an upgrade despite cars being available

Said they “might” have a car for me the next day but couldn’t be definite

You cannot contact the branch by phone. Phone rings and rings. The call centre cannot get through to them

I rang the dartford branch to find out what I could to be told that “they (dartford) can’t get through to them either”

I have emailed them 3 times. No response

I am currently initiating a chargeback on the basis of fraud.

Don’t bother. The first car I was given had a bald tyre. Replaced with a lower grade car which they then didn’t collect as promised after I waited in all day. Branch didn’t answer their phone and their central team just said they weren’t picking up. No reason.
