Budget Car Hire - London Heathrow Airport T2-4

I picked up a car for 14 days from the Heathrow counter; excellent pricing and service and very courteous and helpful staff. Overall very nice experience from getting in touch with the call center to online booking and the customer service at the time of car hire. My car had half tank that I did not notice at the time of hiring but highlighted to the online customer service (operations dept) after my return and they promptly processed a refund for the excess fuel that I deposited in the car! Will definitely use them again …

Over an hour wait at the terminal for a shuutle bus to pick up my hire car. Then waited about 40mins to get allocated a car. The car I was given was not the same class I reserved. It was smaller than I wanted, but at that point I just needed to get going.
Drop off was better but it still took longer to get to the terminal for my flight home than it should have, we sat waiting for passengers as I was the only person on the bus!? One other person got on and after another 10mins we left.

Recent 16 day SUV hire at Heathrow. Seamless service, despite us arriving 3 hours early, and needing to alter our booking for a drop off later than booked. Friendly, helpful staff at pick up and drop off, despite us dropping at T5 rather than T2, as booked. Great car.
When i read some of the review online, I bauked at booking, but would use Budget again, in a heartbeat…no nasty extra charges that have occurred with other companies, in the past. 10/10 to Budget

Worst experience of my life, and got completely ripped off, paid almost £400 for 24 hours for a fiesta type car.
if you are renting a car in Heathrow , avoid these guys like a disease..
To add insult to injury, they decided almost a month later to take another £70 from my card , without my authorisation. They claim in a letter to me, that it was a parking fine of £40 and administration fee of €30. I never parked the car near Heathrow at all, (as the parking fine was from Heathrow) so it looks like they have passed somebody's fine onto me.Thats my total for car hire for 24 hour now at £470. DO NOT HIRE A CAR HERE, OR GIVE YOUR CARD DETAILS TO THEM.

Everything went very smoothly, pick up was quick and painless and drop off was just as fast.

My only issue is the location. It was not clear how to get to the off site location from the correspondents or signage at the airport. I arrived at terminal 5 and was able to piece together, from vague clues, where to go.

The email I recieved a few days before the rental contained this "Thank you for choosing Budget! We look forward to seeing you at 10:00 AM at Bd Heathrow Apt T234.". A quick Google maps search suggested that this was a long way from the terminal.

A search for "budget heathrow terminal 5" got me a budget sponsored ad titled "Budget Car Hire LHR T5" which linked to a reservation page and nothing useful. Searching again today I see more links referencing bus stop 25 below that, but I didn't find them when I arrived, but did find it by walking to the car hire information display at the terminal.

It shouldn't have been that hard to find a reference to bus stop 25 at terminal 5. When I try today it seems a bit better, but I'm not looking at my phone while walking through the airport looking for car rental information. The initial welcome email could certainly outline how to find the bus stop at each terminal.

Great experience using them for the first time, I was visiting my family here in England as I live in the US. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially had great communications through email with Emma who is a great asset to the company. The collection and drop off the car was quick and painless, with the car being issue free for my 24 day hire. I will happily use them again.

We’ve had the worst experience waiting to get our car from Heathrow, despite booking it online beforehand. The clerk made us wait for more than an hour to finish all the paperwork, just to go out in the cold for the car he said would be there for us and not find it. We had to go back and go through the process all over again to get another car. This really ruined our plans and was super annoying.
