Thrifty Car and Van Rental Nottingham

Have rented from here several times and have had great rental cars. Each has been fairly or brand new (one had only 9 miles on it) and always clean. Just be sure to bring all the required paperwork that is listed in the confirmation including bank statement and utility bill to confirm payment and residency address.

sheer incompetence. Left car on private drive for an extra 2 days due to lack of collection. Tried to scam money out of my company from damage previously caused by other renters / their drivers, only marked down damage on the form after i instructed walk around the vehicle on delivery, failed to follow basic instructions of key collecting and in turn disturbed my newborn baby and my wife. Avoid these guys if you can.

Absolutely appalling service, bad customer services, rude staff, and a non caring company. Had a car on my drive for 4 additional days that they should have collected, instead they go to wrong location and then tell me I’m being charged. No one contacts you, and you have to keep calling (38 times in one week) and only 2 of them were answered. Personally; I would never use this company again. And I still have the car on my drive blocking any other vehicle from using the space. ** just read review from Alex Heron below and this is the same they are trying with me.

Don't like the fact they take a £500 deposit on credit card. Over two days it added over $50 to my rental not making it worthwell, cost wise. Very nice late model cars available. No drop off fee was good, but outwayed by the huge deposit.

Absolutely this joke .booked the car last night rang in morning coming to collect. They said just was request.and is not available to hire .dont understand why took all details and issues booking reference number. Just waste of time

The most unprofessional and unpleasant company I have ever had to deal with.

Amy is particularly rude and a dreadful face of the business the worst customer service skills I have ever experienced.

Avoid this company and avoid Amy like the plague she is a hideous human being.

Complete joke of a company. Will try and steal your deposit for damage you haven’t done. The worst car rental I have ever done. Unprofessional, rude and idiotic staff. In particular, Jonathan at the Nottingham branch has no grasp of customer service. Go to other companies instead. Avoid avoid avoid!!!

Absolutely terrible company. Avoid at all costs. Customer service is terrible and they will do anything to try and avoid collecting a car when they are meant to. Very unprofessional.
