Hired a van in September 2017. Wanted it for a few days ending on a Saturday. But couldn't guarantee to get it back by 12 noon on the Sat (when they close) so was charged for two more days before bringing it back on the Monday at their convenience. Paid by credit card. A couple of weeks later we had a letter saying they'd taken a further £80 off our credit card due to some toll charge in Ireland. WE never took the van anywhere near Ireland. On checking the dates, the Ireland charges were for some time in August ie NOT when we hired the van. We phoned up, explained the mistake and, to be fair, the money was put back in our account. We were absolutely appalled by this as the £80 was taken off our credit card before we were notified and without our permission for something we didn't do. Obviously a huge mistake had been made. We received very little apology. We asked them to immediately remove our card details from their records to stop them helping themselves to money from our account. We received no reply and still don't know if they have done that. I would not use them again as they didn't seem at all concerned how serious a mistake like this is.

I've sadly forgotten the young ladies name in the rental department, but I was hiring a car for my Grandaughters' funeral. She was extremely helpful and I was very happy with the black Ford mondeo that I hired for the 24 hours. If it was ten stars they'd get the full ten..

Good clean car and friendly staff, but wow the rental system is very slow. It took nearly an hour to collect my car (and there was only one customer in front of me), and 30 mins to return it.

I found them well priced, good and honest and also professional. I hired a Luton van for my house move and would recommend them.

Days Rental what can I say . Having rung the company earlier, got told what I needed to bring with me for car hire. This took over an hour !!!!! " WHAT WHY" This is a straight forward admin job , was with an older woman that asked repetitive questions that took forever. I did explain I'm a blue light worker on my break.
I was huffing and puffing in shock how utterly slow she was . In todays climate its unrealistic, please recruit someone new for your company's professionalism please this is unacceptable to the hard working people out there.
Had the paperwork eventually, got walked out by a staff member who asked what did I think of that service !! So Days knew the problem already
Took the car as so late back for theatre at hospital work.
I had this car for a week , went back Monday morning saw 2 people looking frantic like I did a week ago trying to hire. I had absolutely no time to wait we work case to case I dropped keys and went . She did mutter something I left I had work.
Love and behold I had a phone call now "36 yes 36 hrs later " explained they had to top car up , yes I drove from Swansea down to work , dropped car off immediately. She said they have a very small dent !!!!!! On back of car . NO WAY !!! CAR WAS FINE !!!!!!
She said I will call you tomorrow when you have time as I was talking to a colleague whilst she was on the phone ! Yes I work in theatre you phoned me .
Said over £100 was being deducted for this. I was fuming , saying no was dismissed by her with a stupid laugh after it.
I had this car back with no damage at all by myself , but I removed the Mcdonalds chips ftom the back door well, removed the Wimbledon note previous customer had left but I left the note the staff had written on in the passenger foot well.
So people don't get STUNG like I did , its unacceptable behaviour who knows how many people this happens to daily .
Check check check your returned car, as she told me its going out that day I brought it back but yesterday I was told I could come view this dent I didn't cause . Don't lie lady it's unprofessional and ugly

Picking up a prebooked car took over an hour. Although documents were emailed in advance, they typed in it all only once we were there (it wasn't possible to enter it online), including typing in historic data on the paper part of the driving licence. They faffed about and were generally very unclear about why it was taking so long, initially making it unsure they had even reserved a car for us. Missing an hour of our 26 hour booking (which meant two days hire charge), was distressing.

The car was in good condition and worked well. No problems.

Drop off was also slow, about 20 minutes, which made it tight catching it train.

Avoid if you can. Book further ahead with someone else. Our problem was they were the only option when booking a week or two before.

Very slow at the counter, sorry but it's true, , and I don't mean waiting to be served

Much slicker check in, thank you, different service agent.

Thank you for the quick response, to put it in context, I arrived at 0815, someone being served, one waiting, then me, second member of staff arrives at around 0830 , 9 am before we are walking out to the van.

Superb customer service from Lorraine and Roger. Have hired from Days Haverfordwest twice recently and really impressed with cost, quality of vehicle and their flexibility towards last minute changes. Thanks all x
