Bought a VR headset from here online. Came covered in dead skin from the employee testing it. Was absolutely covered! Use some moisturiser you nasty.

Purchased an item online, the wrong item turned up. Clearly the items are VERY different, (to start off with ones white and the other is black), is there no quality check on the items you take it and advertise as available to purchase on your website? Very poor and I hope my items do not come from this store again.

Just ordered something online that has come from their store. And the condition it came in is embarrassing. Sticker residue everywhere, deep cuts in the packaging and the disk has more scratches than sandpaper could ever do. This was supposed to be an xmas present. Embarrassing.

CEX can be handy for finding old titles that are rare or hard to get, but when it comes to price or quality they can let the customer down a bit. I ordered a game online costing around £40 and both the game case and paper sleeve had a large hole through, but the staff sent it out to me anyway rather than just swap-out the case. I feel this was very inconsiderate of CEX and poor customer service.

Also, when it comes to price, I often find that CEX are selling USED games or other titles for several pounds MORE than the NEW titles!!! This is absolutely crazy and again very inconsiderate to the customer as it can easily rip-off customers (such as the elderly) who may know nothing about games and are just buying as a gift for a loved one.

Delivery postage costs is another rip-off, as they charge per item rather than per order. So if you order a few titles the costs can stack up a LOT!

So overall, things at CEX could be improved, they are certainly NOT the best seller of used products that's for sure.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND CEX TO ANYONE!

I wanted to contact CEX so I may discuss an issue.

However, CEX have NO CONTACT NUMBER for their Head Office.

Also, none of the CEX stores have contact numbers.

Therefore it is impossible to speak with a human or to explain matters especially as if you attempt to contact CEX via their online form or via e-mail you will generally get through to an Advisor who is poorly trained and sends out a poorly and bad written response failing to answer or to address all of the points raised within your e-mail. This delays matters and makes everything take so much more time! Its is not customer friendly and neither does it streamline and neither does it strengthen the Customer to Company relationship.

How can CEX be a legitimate company if it fails to speak and engage with its customers via phone.

One can only assume that this company runs its operations from a bedroom maybe?

Really odd how there is no live chat either?!

Also, when you order an item, you have to order multiple copies because there is an issue with your stock levels due to poor administration.

If you order one copy of an item it is likely to get cancelled. However, the strange thing is, it will re-appear back in stock 24 hours later and is then identified as a 'Ghost Game'.

CEX make a number of excuses for this, however, in my experience none of the excuses are true. At the end of the day, the game should be taken off the system, this is something they have failed to grasp or master.

Absolute unprofessionalism!

Also, there is a HIGH number of colour photo copied covers for DVD and Video Games being sent out.
Nobody wants a bootleg / copied / counterfeit cover!

I have also received a high number of poor condition and scratched items in addition to water damaged and tea stained covers.

I would also like to bring to people's attention to ensure that you smell your DVD's and Video Games as CEX take in smoke odoured items which not only smell, however, the smell is so toxic that it infects the rest of your items which will require replacing.

There are serious issues with CEX and their services are no further forward in attempting to resolve them.

Many people have offered to reach out to their services to try and improve the services, however, CEX have ignored their customer base and are more focused on stats and targets by treating people like undervalued entities as opposed to be fair and considerate.
