I popped in to sell my Sega Mega Drive. It was a quick 20 minute check and when I returned they were able to tell me that due ti a couple of minor technical issues, they were not able to buy it. Still a good service nonetheless, short wait to be seen to, and staff were helpful and explained what the reason was. Thanks :-)

Breathtaking incompetence. Took my CEX purchased phone there to upgrade it, after testing it, it failed the test (despite being in the same condition it was sold to me by CEX 18 months prior). I then told them it must be within the 48 month warranty period, however they claimed as it was not bought at the Camberley store they "couldn't see anything on the system" and nothing they could do. They wiped the phone entirely so I lost EVERYTHING, and gave it back to me with no sim card. And told me it was worthless. I had to spend the rest of the say sorting it at a different branch (Farnborough) who immediately found my account history, and my transaction/warranty, so refunded me the phone cost and discounted me further off another phone owing to the complete incompetence shown by Camberley. This is not the first time I have encountered this, CEX is a shambles, and I am starting to suspect the discounts you can get off equipment simply are not worth the stress and grief associated with dealing with their staff.

Been a customer for over a year and today I had my first and last bad experience; I brought various tech to trade in for a voucher to buy a PS5. I brought in an IPhone 8 with a faulty speaker and a non-working home button which was tested in the same store a few months ago, back then I didn’t accept because I was offered £30. However a few days ago I went in again and Alice kindly told me that I would get around £30 for the phone which I mentioned that was tested in store and I explicitly told her that the phone was a non-working phone, but I was undecided so I left it. This time I was told that for the phone I would get £30 but soon after I was told that I would get nothing as it was non-reparable but earlier this afternoon I was told that the phone would have been sent to repair if I chose to trade it in. The change of decision was done after Stuart spoke to the manager Alex which was totally unavailable and was hiding in the testing area without even saying a word directly to me and I think couldn’t be bothered. I decided to leave the store with my phone and go into another CEX branch where the same phone was taken as a non-working phone and was offered £30 on a voucher which I accepted. Now Is it possible that 4 different people make the same mistake??? Is it possible that the other guy in the other store is incompetent after he double checked with the manager?? I went back to Camberley the same night after closure because I forgot to retrieve the game I brought in to sell and I was met by Stuart which kindly gave my game back, I explained to him that I been into the other store etc etc and he said that the guy in the other branch was incompetent and that he was just trying to follow the policies of the Camberley store. Different stores, same company, different policies? WHAT? Because of this I won’t go back in the store in Camberley and won’t advise anyone to go either.

Found staff quite rude and not very helpful. Although the one of them who seemed to be calling the shots needs a huge attitude adjustment then maybe the others will seem happier to work there. Won't be entertaining this store again!

Overall its a great place to buy used electronics and games, and it's a great place to trade in your old tech for very good prices, although you should make sure not to have even a slight scratch on your phone otherwise they will reject it. Still recommend them though.
