Ok this is a nice local place for me, from a few reviews on here from other people I totally get the 1 or 2 star reviews, I was probably being a bit nicer in my older review (left below), haven't ordered in there for a while (covid-related financial issues) and when I noticed a review mentioning the Winter Vomiting Virus (Norovirus) I do remember going by this place a good while ago before said review when it had signs up (no idea what for, probably just a temporary covid measure), but I do see them open now when I pass by, was about to order from them at the time I was writing this and it was worrying to read. Now negativity biased people review more then positive people (people tend to be happy with their food and not review it since they know it to be good/don't think people read them) so I kept that in mind, I'm likely not going to order here unless I'm desperate now though, I have had a few orders since my old review and one time I had an order where the food gave off a bad aftertaste (wasn't rancid but didn't taste the same) but I was fine afterwards, haven't ordered from here since but that experience and what I'm reading make me want to drop my star rating from 4 to 2, not outright dismissing the place since they could still do good food, that one experience might have soured it for me though.

Review from about 2-3 years ago when I gave this a 4*:
Pretty decent food, not 5☆ amazing it it is up there. They have a large menu and are in walking distance for me so they are a great range of food which I can collect. Usually I get there when it's nearly ready or ready, depending on how busy they are. I've ordered for Collection for the majority of my orders and have ordered for Delivery a couple of times when I've been ill and not felt like walking and the delivery driver is nice and quick. There are a few cases where I added to the order to not include white onions to it as a preference but it may have slipped past their view once or twice. The cooks in there know what they are doing though and make pretty authentic and tasty food.

I've not eaten from Harvest Kitchen for a little while, so decided to order from them as the last Chinese I had from a local took far too long to be delivered. We ordered Crispy Chicken Balls, Duck in Plum Sauce, Pancake Rolls, Chips and they were delivered within half an hour, hot, fresh and absolutely AMAZING! Quality ingredients and beautifully cooked. Restaurant quality at home. I can't wait to place my next order. Thanks Guys! Well done!

Brilliant little place really nice food and great location

Always get good service here whenever we go

Lots of parking outside and offers delivery

Great prices aswell and alot of options on the menu

So far not had a bad meal and its slways hot and tastes fresh

All in all a great Chinese would deffo recommend a try if you are nearby and hungry

The Curry sauce is amazing too!

App said the order was due at 20.45 - called to find out where it was - restaurant said it was 5 minutes away as driver was caught in traffic (checked on Google and no traffic was around)
I told the restaurant if it’s not here in 5 minutes then I would cancel the order. The app was still showing the order was being prepared- when I asked why this was the man said it’s because he hasn’t got time to press the button !!!!!!!
I called back 5 minutes later - the restaurant said the driver had returned already as I had cancelled the order - which I hadn’t at that point. I don’t believe the order had ever left been made or even left the restaurant - what a waste of a Saturday night and the opportunity to have a meal with the family without cooking - will never use these again !!

Good food, decent portions and quick.

Best Chinese I've ever had in Derby, tasty, hot, arrived on time, generous portions

2.5 hours for it to be delivered through Deliveroo. Quality not great. Better elsewhere

Excellent Food & Service. They have the best Plum sauce I have EVER tasted & their Sesame Prawn Toast is delicious too. I've tried many takeaway's in Derby but this is my favourite.
