We visited the Bank Coffee House today while staying locally on holiday. What a gem! The staff are pleasant, helpful and happy to share local information. The food we had (cheese scones with cream cheese and chutney) was delicious and the coffee was a definite 10/10. Looking forward to our next visit!

Loved this place. 4 of us drove over from Ashby for lunch.
It was absolutely brilliant.
Lovely building, great service and top quality fresh food.

Excellent food and a really good choice for such a small kitchen area. Lots of room for diners which in itself leads to one or two problems because the kitchen can't cope. If you are happy to wait then the food is worth it. The seats are uniquely uncomfortable though.
Staff are very friendly and hard working although do seem quite stressed and get in each others way a lot. Anyway with the obvious logistical problems this cafe is worth perseverance and patience.

First visit today. Friendly and comfortable little cafe serving simple food and very nice cakes. We called around 1.30pm and it was pretty busy (soup took a while, but was very good). Seating indoors and out. Nice clean toilets. Also sells greetings cards and local artwork.

Don't think you could get a full English breakfast more wrong.
Bacon, tomato, baked beans and toast lukewarm sausage ok but nothing special poached egg just about cooked and all served on a cold plate, £7.50and a forty minutes wait.
I'll leave it to you to guess if I'll be back.

Very busy Saturday. Called in at lunch time for a take away coffee and got a great sized caramel square too. Still had quick service despite how busy and room to sit down if I'd wanted to stay. Lovely place.

Could..be amazing

Unfortunately this cafe looks after its regulars. It was out first time. There were 4 of us. We met at 1pm. Ordered drinks. Then food and drinks. We watched 2 other tables come in after us and be served. Then the owner said she had no scones but served the table next to us with scones. If they ordered after us why were we told to re order.. They had just come in. We waited from 1pm till 2.10pn to be served our food. We will try there again but the way we were served wasn't fair. We spent quite a lot of money. My partner ordered a mocha, the waitress spilt it all over the saucer and apologised but should really of brought out another drink. Poor service. Its a shame because it looks like it would be a very lovely cafe.
