Stopped by LLantwit Major and needed to kill some time so I popped into the Cafe Velo and ordered tea and crumpets with strawberry jam. Friendly service and excellent clean presentation.

Lovely, cycle-friendly cafe. Well-priced Coffee, cakes and crumpets on offer, perfect for warming up a chilly cyclist or walker. Cosy upstairs if you're after a leisurely coffee/book afternoon. Even has free-to-use cable locks to secure your steed while you stop.

Lovely little coffee shop geared up for road bike riders and the public. The owner really welcoming and chatty and can't do enough for you.
If you are riding through the Vale make sure you stop off and grab a cappuccino with a nice slice of home made cake. If you are like me and too cool to carry a lock for your bike fear not they provide locks for all customers if needed.

David went hugely out of his way to help us out with a flat tyre, which in the end couldn’t be fixed and then actually offered to lend us his own bike so that we could still go out for a ride. On top of that the coffee is great and the flapjacks are delicious. Definitely recommend stopping by.

If you are in Wales and want a really good coffee get down to Cafe Velo in Llantwit. Consistently great coffee and cake. Try the Bara Brith ( Welsh fruit cake ). Sensational! The owners and staff are really nice and always helpful.

What a great café! Lovely little snug upstairs. Great bike themed pictures everywhere. And, cake and coffee was good also!

Visited a few years ago while driving through Wales. Tea, cakes ... and a shop jersey, which I proudly wear here, at home, in North Idaho, USA.
