The Castle Inn

Lovely little village pub. Dog friendly. Food is lovely and home made. My partner had streak which just melted in the mouth. I had the chicken nuggets which were equally as delicious. Staff are friendly and super helpful.

Visited 3 times during my 4 day stay in Landkey, excellent food, great service from staff especially Devon

Sunday Roast Was Amazing and value for money too.

I had the Roast Beef and my Partner the Pork Belly.

The Beef was cooked to perfection
Roasted in Black treacle for 27hrs.
It melted in my mouth.

Pork Belly also melted in the mouth and the Crackling was Crisp and Tasty not fatty.

Vegetables again firm but cooked just right parsnips, carrots, peas, and roast Potatoes with a Big Fluffy Yorkshire Pudding.

I would Recommend Booking in advance for Sunday Roast.

We hadn't booked but they accommodated us anyway.

We Met the Chef and passed on our compliments.

Excellent food and reasonably priced. The Ribs are something else. A few miles out of Barnstaple but worth the trip. Brilliant and efficient staff.

Great pub. Staff very friendly and food awesome. Our first visit but definitely not our last. Big portions at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

On arrival the bar maid was very attentive and spoke to the children we had in a lovely manner. The place was clean, the bathrooms were amazing and had everything a woman could need.
The food was amazing, the chef/owner was lovely. He spoke to us for a few minutes after our meal and explained he'd owned this place for 10 years also advised us about his "best roast in the South West". Music was spot on, with volume and choice of music.
Will return in the future!

Popped in for breakfast on the Friday morning breakfast club. My partner and myself both had a regular breakfast and it was pretty much spot on 👍

We will definitely return when we're back in the area.
