I just wanted to say a massive thank you to The Black Valais team for a wonderful evening, for my sister’s surprise birthday party last week. Shane & Ash were so accommodating, and easy to work with and made sure we had a fantastic event. If anyone is looking for a fabulous venue for a special occasion, I highly recommend The Black Valais and their brilliant team! 🥳👏🌟🍾

Awful. 8 people eating. Cheese and red onion pie inedible. Ordered steak with Diane sauce and was given gravy!! Manager then tried to tell me it was definitely Diane sauce. Chips were old and reheated. Avoid if you don't want to he served rubbish food.

We went to visit this pub on the way back from the beach on Sunday and absolutely loved it! Food was fantastic and the staff letting us feed the Larmas was really special, in fact the staff totally made the evening for us. I would 1000% recommend stopping her for a spot of lunch x

This is my absolute favourite restaurant and place to spend some time. Never had a bad meal, the staff and management are lovely and if on the odd occasion something is not right I just mention it and it’s sorted. Ignore the bad reviews and judge for yourselves you won’t be disappointed. They even have a bouncy castle and entertainment for the kids. These guys are really trying and deserve credit for there innovative ideas and creative menus which are fantastic. Yes things change such as losing the carvery for the summer but a new improved menu is born and these changes keep it fresh.

Although they advertised a car very when we arrived it wasn’t available. We had the roast pork dinner which arrived 10 mins after ordering. Hardly warm and went cold before we could eat it. I think they are more interested in making money than making good meals. Won’t be going again.

One of the worst places I've been in a long time. Service was sparse, unorganised and with what appeared to be very inexperienced staff. The food however was the worst bit. The steak pie does not legally qualify to be named as such. I'm surprised if my experience is normal that th8s places continues to trade as is. Big changes needed to fix this and justify the prices they're charging.

Short staffed, slow service. We had 2 Sunday roasts. The majority of the veg was cold and one portion of the beef was fatty, chewy and wasn’t edible. On telling a member of staff I felt he was rude and nothing was offered as a sorry. Normally regular attendants but will be giving it a miss for a while.

Lovely carvery, best I've had in a long time. We ate every scrap.
2 of us had the carvery, 1 had gammon and one had steak and ale pie, we all enjoyed the food.lovely cosy atmosphere.
