I visited the store earlier today. Sale item 70 percent off but no price ticket.
Women's wear dept. The supervisor slumped over to help and I asked her to check the price of the item. A cotton ladies sleeveless shirt, plain.
£16.99 I was told.
This would have made the original price over £50.!!???
So I queried the sale price and was told it was 70 per cent off, NOT ALL OF IT!
The other sales girl was cheerful and helpful.
Unfortunately I wasn't served by her.
I have worked all over the holiday season and have managed to treat my customers with respect, not make them feel stupid and unwelcome.
Very poor service and attitude from one staff member means I will go to Portsmouth next time.

Would be 0 if that was available. Spend £100 plus on Clarins products every month and the same on children's clothes. The store gave me the wrong compact make up (cushion instead of compact so not easy to spot) went back to the store to ask to swap it for the same colour, same priced product to be told no as I don't have the receipt. I used my beauty points but they can't find it off that and was the woman polite for the error the store made, of course she wasn't. Absolute joke, I will spend my money elsewhere that's for sure and I suspect a small store in Fareham need a every customer they can get!!

Always liked debs for deluxe food and good suits. Clothing range for men has gotten sparce. Bought my Jeff banks clothing from here, best shop at Portsmouth branch instead. Great perfume range,

Wide selection of clothes but they do not offer all brands available to Debenhams.their beauty and fragrance section is very good . Prices were reasonable. The shop is well laid out and labels are very clear.

Pretty decent Debenhams. Small but has a lot. Usually they have items reduced in price. Ok range of kids clothes and again there is usually a bargain to be had. Store is clean and have helpful and friendly staff. It's also good that the mensware is on the ground floor.

We went to the Lancome desk and a lovely lady spent time making up my wife. Giving advice, and was lovely. Of course we spent money but it was mainly due to the service this lady had given us which is why we spent over £100

Although it is a smaller store so can be limited on choice, I've always found staff helpful, friendly and polite. It is in general very quiet though so it would be a real shame if it closed due to lack of customers in store!

Came to get a bra fitting and was told staff member was on her break. Came back after lunch only to be told I needed to make an appointment. As they are busy....! There are currently 4 customers on this floor.!!! Think the staff need re training when giving out instructions on how the store is managed.
