Very resourceful shop with everything you could ever need for your DIY endeavours. That, outside of its locality to my home are only positives I can think off.

I have experienced poor and rude customer service and two occasions most recently when the owners were on the phone to family, left me waiting by the till for six or seven minutes, then begrudgingly serving me as if I was bothering them, then hurried me out. I found this hugely insulting.

Prices are hugely inflated and you are probably better off going to a bigger store like B&Q ordering from amazon.

The only reason I would ever go there again, Is if there was another lockdown situation and bigger stores like B&Q, Wickes etc we're not accessible. Otherwise, stay clear.

Went in today with my face mask on. No other customers in the shop. Encounteted a barrier made of paint tubs. Was told that they are not letting people into the shop because "enough is enough". I'm confused. Normally they are very helpful and I enjoy using this shop. But not sure I'll bother again.

Absolute Robbers. Gave this shop a second chance due to a bad experience and their attitude stinks , no customer service and absolute ridiculous policy’s! You gave me a credit note but I will not be back to spend my money in your store. You are thieves. If I could give zero stars I would. Avoid this shop. Absolutely agree with certain reviews how is this shop still standing.

Very confused by the previous negative comment. From my experience the couple who own it are always warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Its a well stocked shop and if you cant find something the owners will go out their way to help you get it. Amazing local shop - I highly recommend it!

Wow, people have had some shocking experiences here?! I have never encountered this and love coming here. I have always felt welcome and the owners go out of their way to order in items I am looking for. It’s lovely to have a useful little shop at the end of the road. So disappointed to hear others’ negative experiences, perhaps the owners have struggled during the pandemic? Let’s stay kind and support our local businesses. 💫

This is the rudest man. He said I need to look at my bum.. because its getting big!!! How dare he!.. Please avoid this shop... he doesn't deserve to trade after reading the other comments on here!

Got a lot in store, but not much people skills. Minimum £10 on vmcard reader, and expensive for basic screws/bolts/fixings.

Sad this is the only independent DIY shop near by!

Incredibly rude and overpriced!

I went this morning to ask for a Calor patio gas canister. He went inside for a while, then came back with one, but stopped to serve another customer on the way. When I asked if he could continue serving me, he said "what do you want me to do? I only have one pair of hands" (the answer, in case you are reading, is say "sorry, sir, I'll be with you after I've served this customer").

The canister he came back with was old, dirty, unofficial (i.e. not a Calor gas canister, but some sort of knock-off), and half full. He wanted £88 for it, which is a lot more expensive than the official, new, full ones. I politely said I would have to think about it because I had seen it elsewhere. He asked me how much I had seen it for elsewhere, and I said £58 (which is true: this is what I got my last one for from Calor in Surrey). He then put the canister down and told me to go away and stop wasting his time. I walked away, and said "there's no need to be so rude", and he then told me to f*ck off!

So, if you care about customer service at all, and/or don't want to pay way over the odds for old, dirty, dodgy equipment, do not go here. I will certainly never be going here again.
