Staff were attentive, but what I wanted was not in stock [precision screwdriver]. I was not in need of the full blown set they tried to palm me off with! B&Q is never crowded!

I agree with others on here that staff (maybe not all) don't know about the products they sell.

I don't know how one passed a job interview here when they have shown a lack of respect to the values and commitment to the company.

I came in for help with dealing with mould on window frame sealant in my home. I found a canister of sealant in the store, but there were many and I did not know if I had the right item or type. I spoke to a lady at the counter and showed her a picture on my phone of the issue and if I had the right item. She just said it's worth a shot. I said there are many types of sealant and I don't know which one to get. She said to take a chance and get it. That was really poor and I was quite shocked. Clearly she did not know the items and was telling me to buy it anyway.

I bought it and ended up getting glue on my clothes... because the item was not supposed to be used standalone and needed to be used in a gun. Also, it was not going to do it's job as it was transparent and so would not even cover the mould!.

So much for buying the item after showing and explain the issue I had in my home!.

I now have a t-shirt and underwear that are messed up as the glue popped out of the back onto my clothes!.

Staff did refund when I explained it but told me I should know what I want to buy when I come in. I mentioned that's it's staff job to direct customers to the right item if they are not sure of what they need to fix an issue and that I was advised to buy an item that was clearly wrong and also needed other tools for it to be used correctly.

Don't bother going unless you are certain on what you want.

Went for a click and collect. At the end of email, it said "available to pick up after 1pm". So, went there after 1pm, but the store said that the order was not ready. It turns out that the middle of the email said "wait for confirmation". Asked B&Q to deliver the goods to home as we already went there, but they refused. Thorough incompetence - cannot even draft a clear email.

A small store compared to the normal supersized B&Q's we are used to but very well stocked and presented. This place will be "the place to go" for your DIY enthusiast

Quite a small shop and out of stock of some items. I think it's better to order online than visiting the store if you know exactly what you need to buy. The staff couldn't answer all the questions about their products.

Small B&Q shop so only very basic items sold here. They offer key cutting service too.
