This store has taken the inevitable decision of removing all of their staffed tills and replacing them with self scan options (I am aware they have kept a couple but they are rarely staffed, even on weekends). However, on more than one occasion I have been rather rudely accosted by staff members upon leaving demanding that they inspect what I've purchased because I might be stealing items. Definitely a case of not thinking their policy through and it ruins the shopping experience. The store is also confusingly laid out and is poor compared to other B+Q stores I have visited.

My recommendation is to either head over to Wickes on the other side of the road, or if you want to visit a B+Q, the one in Farnborough is much bigger, better stocked and seems to be better staffed as well.

Plenty of parking. During busy times there is a little known overflow carpark LHS Halfords and a service road which runs behind the stores and comes out near B&Q. The store itself is huge with good stock levels when I visited. Till staff on the self checkout were jovial as they stood and watched us work, scanning our own shopping. I hate self checkout.

Went there yesterday, both gentleman called George, Oliver and Russell were absolutely brilliant help. They were patient, informative and just brilliant. If I knew who the manager was I would forward a this information to them. They deserve all the praise!

After being a customer here regularly and I spend more money in hardware stores than any other type of shop, I will no longer shop here. Time and time again when trying to find someone to assist me and then eventually finding someone I am consistently dissapointed at their inability to help. Most recently after finding an item on their website and being informed it was in isle 26, it was not. I was randomly told by 4 different staff to look in 4 different isles all over the shop. Not one staff member actually tried to help more than misinform me. My time is my life, and B&Q wastes it.

I only shop here coz there isn't really anywhere else to get DIY stuff close by. Staff are never happy, and you have to hunt high and low to find anyone. Shelves always seem to be low of stock. The parking lot was filled with a trail of screws, luckily I didn't get a puncture I would not have been pleased!

This branch could have everything if it was that their staff couldn't be bothered to answer. I approached 4 people, looked like I was "disturbing". Another customer told me "it's always like that here". Won't go back there, that's for sure

It's OK, not a super large B&Q and ok if you go outside the weekend it is alright to park etc. Go at the weekend and you can spend 30 min getting on the car park and 30 min getting off the car park. Don't bother then just pop into the slightly smaller Wickes opposite...same company.

Huge store, lots of products and helpful staff. Occasionally have good sales. Big garden section outside. Plenty of convenient parking
