B&Q Stafford

Not a great lot of choice for wallpaper but paint choices are great. They mix the colour emulsion you want using the hundreds of choices on little cards in a rack. A customer assistant even helped me choose a colour to go with my wallpaper even though it was purchased elsewhere.

Very handy for all your DIY and professional needs. I used them personally and also for business with nice trade discounts.
they have a little less product selection that other branches such the one at Meir in Stoke but it is very nice to have this place in town.
Staff is very friendly and always available to help.

Unbelievable, they really are. I applied for a vacancy here. Early last week,I had an unannounced phone call from a woman claiming to work for them. She was polite,but sounded very laid back. She asked me if we could, "have a quick chat". We spoke for about 5 minutes or so, literally. She then told me that she'll be in touch within 48hrs as to whether I had the job or not,then hung up. I just sat there "amazed" with my phone still in my hand. Firstly,I wasn't told that was an interview. Secondly,she was so layed back,I thought she was asleep. Totally unprofessional. None of the questions she asked had anything to do with employment. I have first hand experience in retail,for over 30 years,from sweeping the floor, working my way up to running a business. I've been responsible for the security of the building,to banking thousands of pounds in physical cash every week. I even used to do the hiring and firing myself. Yet when I was casually browsing B&Q's website,I noticed that on my profile they had put that I had been 'interviewed' and put me down as 'unsuccesfull'. So the very short laid back conversation with the inexperienced member of staff, must have been the interview. It would have been nice to have been told that. Maybe she realised that I have more experience than her, I really don't know why they behave like this. It's disgraceful,and never again.

I just want to shout out to Jen, who offered us loads of advice on which loo to buy today. It's so nice and unusual to get really good customer service without having to search for staff. Thank you Jenny.

Well I needed to replace a radiator, looked at Web site it stated there were 2 instock and yes they were there .Well done Stafford. Shame you were out of stock of thermostat valves.

The store is very clean, light and airy.
I found the aisles well signed which helped me negotiate efficiently despite my disabilities.
I bought what I needed plus two items I didn't think I needed.
Self service tills we're easy to use. Supermarkets could learn from this!

Absolutely awesome service from a lady called Laura!!! I bought a rather bulky product that had a massive fault on it,so I called & explained that I'm in a wheelchair & had no way to bring it back(other than paying someone to bring it back for me) she sorted everything out for me over the phone. I've literally never had service as good as this since my accident & it was nice to find a large company with some empathy for once. I recommend this shop 100% & will purchase every garden/diy product I ever need in the future from them. Keep up the good work, once again, many thanks Laura!!!!

Great customer service, I needed help selecting a large radiator, took me to correct Isle, checked measurements,showed me the one I needed, and even got me an a frame trolley to move it to my car, impressed.
