Johnsons The Cleaners

I travelled all the way to Thayer Street branch with enthusiam that I had found a Johnsons cleaners in London having just moved from the West Midlands. The cost to clean my next dress was £15.45. I also opted for the express cleaning for andadditional £1.20. After a long day work in Leicester Square I caught the tube and arrived at the shop on time at 5pm to collect my dress, only to be told that my dress had not arrived and could I come back around 5:55pm. I didnt mind the inconvenience and saw it as an opportunity to visit the shops on Oxford Street. When I returned the dress had just arrived with the delivery man. I eagerly paid for my dress and left in good faith thinking that I didn't need to check my dress because I trusted the good customer service I had received previously.

When I got home to North London and removed the packing what a shock - the dress smelt exactly the same as it did when I bought it into the shop! There were creases everywhere - not just creases from folding the bag in transit.
If I didn't live so far away I would have taken it back and complained directly.

A warning to all who might venture to use this branch please don't your garment is not been cleaned properly. They really need to investigate who is designated with the responsibility of drying cleaning customers garments.

I will now have to get this cleaned again.

Pros:
-Drop-off customer experience was very nice with a helpful woman.
-Clothes came back sooner than expected, clean with no issues.

Cons:
-Very expensive for slow dry cleaning (I was quoted an entire week for a few items) and the tracking is all done by these terrible hand-written receipts.
-When I picked up my clothes, a different woman handled the transaction and her demeanor was so angry and miserable that it made me miserable for the rest of that evening.

Suggestion: use the profits from the high prices to invest in a CRM to bring the business into the 21st century.

I have recently had my wedding dress cleaned here. Great service, very friendly staff.
Under current circumstances my dress came back cleaned very quickly and all presented in a lovely box all wrapped up inside, perfect for storage when I get home.

It's great that our local dry cleaners now cut keys. I was greeted and served by the manager Claire she was very polite and knowledgeable about her product. Very quick and easy and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend to all my friends.

Lovely service but changed pricing structure. The poor lady had to try charging me £96 for a small bit of washing

Claire is amazing. I mentioned that my partner would be wearing his jacket when we got married. When I collected it she had put a little “ enjoy your wedding “ sign on the suit cover. The blazer was really well presented and beautifully cleaned. She went the extra mile and was so thoughtful. Thank you Claire. Johnson’s Waitrose Rushden Lakes.
