Appalling service rendered to me!

My application was made in June 2021.

I have been waiting for one plus year on a replacement passport.
I called every day for the past 3 months with no response, emailed the manager for over 3 months, only got back a response on the 20th of July 22 "stating that I need to pay another £50" which was never communicate to me before.

I was asked to pay a £75 fee on the day of my application which was done.

I have not change any of my contact details- I would like to know how comes no one contact me to let me know I need to pay another £50?
Surely you must have this information sitting on from year 2021.

Does anyone follows up on application as mines is clearly sitting down for over one plus year!

Management needs to evaluate the service provide from this medium as it is extremely poor.
Complete slackness!

1.10.22

After 1 year and 4 months of waiting I finally get my passport.
The Jamaica passport consular needs urgent management.
People shouldn’t have to suffer this long wait without even as little as a communication from this medium.

Urgent intervention is needed. Very poor service rendered.

I had to get some documents certified. Janet assisted me and was most professional throughout the entire service. I arrived early, was allowed in to wait. I can't fault the service I received. Janet was amazing!!!

They need improvements on there customers service I Driven from Birmingham for appointment for 13.00 PMand I wasn't seen until 2.45pm and teller I didn't given apology for me waiting that long. All he said was waiting while he was doing something else. As Jamaican we need to communicate effectively with each other. Poor service

If I could put -10 star I would. I vowed to never see this place again.
1. there nothing call professionalism in this establishment. Staffs are rude and obnoxious (not all but most).
2. You take you picture clear as day for your passport it isn't good enough you have to leave and find a man at the train station. Only his picture is good enough 🤷🏾‍♀️.
3. If your signature isn't identical you have to keep doing it untill you get it right.
This is all a shamble no structure the location is sickening also, in my opinion it just reflects the service disgusting.

Why am I put on hold, told I'm 3rd in the cue then sit through a few of Bob Marley's songs to then be told by a recording 12 minutes later that I need to call back during open hours????
This isn't the first time this has happened either.
If you're open between 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. why is this the message at 11:00 a.m.?

Reviewing my review lol (3 months late)
I ended up visiting to the office several times. There is a lovely lady there who honestly made the process bearable. She almost made me forget how horrible this ordeal has been.
I'm still awaiting my daughter's passport but the process has began thanks to Mrs Mullings.

I have never seen such professional, empathic and helpful staff like those at the Jamaican embassy and I have been to lots of embassies all over the world. They have a personal touch and kindness that is lacking in all the rest of the world .
May they never change and become hollow and distant in the name of expansion , efficiency etc. ; all those buzz words that means more machines and more distant staff

Well, well. Well time to share and this review, I hope will cause a shift in the staffs behaviour at the Jamaican high commission in Consort Road London.
I realised Jamaicans in that place do not take their fellow jamaican serious.
I mean those especially at consort Road at Jamaican High commission. we are residents of jamaica and when we go to apply for our passports we treated unfairly. If i had seen the reviews, before I go there, I wouldn't have gone.
I was ashamed of their behaviour, it does not make me feerl proud to be a Jamaican.
. This place need some investigation and I am wondering why Scotland Yard Police force take so long to investigate these people, i do not think they care about their fellow jamaican, they are taking our money and not giving the service we deserve.
.
A team called PICCA came to London on the 8th october 2022, that information about them i received it fom the Jamaican High Commissioner in London and when I called to enquire about my passport, I was told they do not know them by a staff who works there. hope others check the reviews
I need to know who are these people though? I went to London as I was directed to access their service by a worker from the Jamaican High Commissioner to get my application for an amended passport done. I was told 20 days for my passport to be return it's going on almost two months and not even a text message or an email to say we have reveived your application, where they get they trainings from. They charged £175, unfortunately when I called the office and leave a firm voicemail then one A called saying she will try to help, only because i told her I was travelling in December, she confirmed the day would be her birthday so she would helped me.
I was told she would get back to me, a week ago, only for her to told me PICCA said, I am not in the Mission, also she tried to pulled herself out of the mess that she didn't promised me to help, thank God, that wasn't the trip to heaven, or else I would miss the mission. After i paid, they supplied me with a receipt the night, 8 October 2022 after paying £175 also they refused to use my photograph saying that my forehead was too shine. I did not leave that place until 9pm when i got home it was midnight. what government place in UK open until 9pm? That alone should tell me RED FLAG.
I got firm with her and she started to talk to me like she was interesting in what I was trying to say to her at the time, she made me stress, this is Wickedness.
How can these people operating from government building and the authority not doing anything about what we all are complaining about the police need to do something about the issue, this is thef, people from ethnic minority do pay taxes and need better treatment . we are treated like me do not have rights. Whatever ethnicity a person is from, the authority need to listen, we are experiencing difficulties and its so many of us are complaining but it is falling on deaf ears.
With so many of us complaining, this should cause concern to the authority, I am ask for an enquiry from the authority to look into what is happening. An investigation should start into this place at the Jamaican High Commission Consort Road London.
All they do is to play Bob Marley music in your ears and the voicemail record your message and no one get back to you.
My friend from America went through the same thing 1 Yr before they respond. They need that place close down, it does not serve the majority of us.
If you look at where they chose to offer their service, in an old church yard with disgusting facilities, the toilet was nasty, the crammy little cold place, poeople standing on the roadside, in the bushes, that alone should tell us they are not legitimate.

I hope they see this review and adhere to the content, and do better or else action will be taken against them soon, we need a change.

Terrible service. Nobody answers the phone I tried to ring 3 days in a row to only be spoken to once by a man who transferred my call to a different department and then I was cut off and have not been able to get hold of anybody since. My husbands passport replacement was applied and paid for in the first week of October and we have heard nothing in writing form, email or phonecall ever since. Emails have been ignored. Also the automated voicemail states when you pay using the reference given, you should then inform the commission once this has been done, however on the day of my husbands appointment we were simply told to make the payment online and not advised we needed to inform them after so at this stage we aren't holding our breaths and would be extremely surprised if the application has even been processed. Very disappointing.
