been trying to contact them for over a month now still can’t get hold of anyone, phone number is kept on engage on purpose somtimes it says number is not in use.
UPDATE YOUR NUMBER OR BLOODY PUT SOMONE THERE TO ANSWER CALLS on the times you only open 11-2pm but no one is there to answer.
With all of that surrounding the place, fourteen centuries of shared European culture, proudly being a birthplace of Nikola Tesla and Miroslav Krleza, home of great hospitality and hard work that has put Croatia on the top of the list for all travelers - you would expect some of that will be embeded in that tiny embassy. Naah… once you’re in (you have to wait outside, rain or heat, of course - after few attempts to ring the doorbell) you feel “like home” and get classic Balkan-style cold “šalter” service, just like you’d meet in old days of SDK or “socijalno” (fair enough, noone smokes) as grey and cold like ever. That little piece of “home soil” is a place where you don’t feel welcome, almost like you’re disturbing peace at the funeral. Fun fact: more Croatians live abroad then in home country.
Place could be a part of educational field trips for school children in UK, showing them why respect and manners are important and what happens when that gets forgotten.
More than that, this embassy provides services and charges you for them, which would presumably involve some level of customer service/support adequate to time and place. Nope. Same old “we just work here and you need us, not the other way around” bureaucratic approach, not even trying to make it look like interaction of humans.
Very dissapointing unpleasant experience,bad
value for money and very disturbing.
