A lovely little country pub with a huge heart. Yummy pizza for lunch and a great choice of beers. Thank you Mark and Sam, for the warm welcome.

Having read a couple of very mean reviews written earlier this week I wonder if we have some fraudsters visiting the area trying to get free dinners? I just can't recognise their description of a place I've eaten at many times. Beware of these two, other local businesses.

These were the worst pizzas we have ever had. It’s something you would have after a drunken night out maybe. Really bad bases and toppings were awful. No flavour in the tomato sauce.

We love The Artichoke! Sam and Mark are so friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble - the service is always excellent. The food is quality pub-style food and very good value. The pizzas are particularly good - we have one pretty much every Friday evening!

Love my village pub! Always so friendly and inviting especially with my dog Frank. The food is on another level, not what you’d expect from a little village pub! The fish and chips are delicious but my fave is the NewYorker chicken burger! And their chips 🤤 what can I say! Amazing pub, amazing people and even better food. Xx

Great village pub, with lovely staff who are very welcoming. They do take away menu as well as sit in and our favourite is the made from scratch Pizzas which are amazing. We had a selection for our party and there was not a slice left. Especially good is the beef Madras pizza yum yum. Highly recommended x

Have been here many times and always had a good meal with great service. Their pizzas are to die for, and roasts are fab, but then I also love their steaks lol 😆

This lovely cosy village pub is welcoming and their beer garden is great! Plenty of seating, with gnomes and gonks to keep you company, amidst the local characters.

Definitely worth the drive and yes they have a car park.

Just read with much bemusement a bad review for the home made pizzas. Often order them and did so again on Friday for our group of friends staying for the weekend. Everyone was raving about them and the beef madras one was a major hit. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. Sam and Mark are fantastic and do an amazing job of making the pub an integral part of the village. Ignore the negatives. You won’t be disappointed

Proper village pub feel to it, and that's meant in a very positive way. We were 'out of towners ' on holiday but the welcome we got was lovely. Thanks so much and we hope to see you all again one day!
