Lovely staff, accommodating and knowledgeable. Much prefer over very impersonal chains. Highly recommend.

The person who answered the phone today was unhelpful, brusque and clearly couldn't care less. For management this female employee answered the phone at 3 pm and barked questions at me in an irritated manner and when I mentioned that I found her unhelpful and may go elsewhere she just said 'ok then bye' no apology...don't quite know what else to say.....

Quite possibly the worst place ever? Came in with an ocular emergency and the counter assistant started asking me to fill in a form for my previous address, last eye test and all sorts of meaningless rubbish. If someone has come in for an emergency and is visibly distressed, use some common sense and do that after. Oh, and the optometrist couldn't actually be bothered to come out and see me, let alone check my eye. Instead, they told the assistant to send me to a chemist. I wouldn't advise anyone to come here if you truly need help.

Terrible experience- eye test/contact lenses appointment booked together and told that they were separate appointments an hour apart. It dis not say this on booking- I've been to 2 separate boots opticians branches and this has never happened before. What a waste of time- why would I want to sit there twiddling my thumbs for an hour and trying to entertain my 5 month old baby?

Boots opticians in St Albans have been brilliant with my daughter. They were so patient in training her on contact lenses age 9, and even though it took a few visits we got there in the end and she is now loving wearing contacts rather than glasses. Huge thanks to Rob and the team who were super kind.

Excellent service from Rob and Diana - thank you both - old fashioned service with great technique and practice obviously built over years. They were conscious of some family history and dealt with me exceptionally well

Extremely rude sales staff in the glasses section, so much so that I will never return to this location. Optician himself was polite. Wouldn’t return and definitely wouldn’t recommend.
