Boots Opticians

Had a eye test here a little while ago. Test lasted around 10 minutes and the the usual big eye test machine was not used. Didn’t feel satisfied that my eyes had been checked properly.

Had a few concerns which I addressed with the optician, again, wasn’t reassured. Wouldn’t recommend. Did make a complaint but no one got back to me and it’s been months and months.

I've been using Boots since I wore glasses 15years , the Upminster Branch followed by the old Hornchurch branch, I arrived literally 5mins late due to traffic being so heavy, waited 2-3 mins for them to get off the phone and then the computer before being told I'm 10mins late and would have to come back.
The fact It was 8mins and I'd waited 3 of those for them, they wouldn't see me. A round trip of 30 mins waisted, plus parking my bi-annual £200 plus on glasses will now go elsewhere.
Customer service was a joke, 5min max late wait from their side, which I was in the shop at that time. Not even apologetic, lied about the time , and said I was later than I actually was.

I turned up twice at store to attend appointment but they cancelled my appointment, apparently they tried to contact me to change my appointment. Bad experience.

Not impressed with my eye test. Had to pay extra in order to have the photo take of my eye which is included with an eye test at other opticians.
The lady I had, couldn’t answer my questions regarding concerns I had about my eyes…

Wonderful staff… Aisha, Carole, Donna and Pooja were great and I had the best appointment with at an optician. very professional, appointment started on time and unbiased advice provided. Aisha stood out with her wonderful work ethic.

My 4year old was very distressed at the beginning of the examination. Anita was excellent with her. Took plenty of time to talk to her (and me) and made her feel comfortable. Plenty of stickers and smiles later, she was a happy customer. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone, but especially if you have a nervous little one.

Carole greeted me and helped me find a style of glasses I liked; she was really pleasant, lovely to speak to and helpful. The optician, Anita was also really friendly and explained the process very clearly and made suggestions based on my answers which helped a lot. Finally Jackie provided me with various payment options while explaining various benefits of different styles of glasses. Big thank you to Jackie, Carole and Anita. Thank you ladies!!

Asiya was probably the kindest person I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Never written a review before, but she deserves one here. Top job made everything as easy as could be. Thank you.
