Easy to make an appointment. Phoned me personally to remind me about my appointment, not a machine or text. Lovely welcome into shop. Smiley, friendly staff.
Optician Sanjay Patel extremely good. Keeps detailed notes and you feel he knows your case personally, even 2 years since the last visit. Thorough test, with attention to your particular needs, such as PC use, reading etc. Highly recommend this outlet and staff.

Not very much specs choice.

A year ago I purchased a pair from a different Boots branch via a friend that used to be a boots employee. The glasses were later damaged beyond repair during a theft at my home. My insurance asked me to get an optician to confirm that I had a pair of the glasses, plus a quote for repair/replacement. As the original branch was not local and he doesn't work there anymore, I went to my local branch in Northfield.
This should have been really easy because I gave them the damaged glasses that matched the prescription that was in my name and had my ID. I requested Boots to give me a quote, confirming that they had checked the glasses that matched the description and were not repairable.
Having confirmed they matched my prescription, they gave all sorts of excuses saying that they couldn't give me a letter because I did not buy them from that branch, the prescription was now a year out of date and lots of other irrelevant reasons.
They wilfully frustrated my natural justice! I went to another branch that recognised the frame, lenses & tag to be there's that effortlessly gave what was requested and they couldn't believe how awkward the Northfield branch had been.

Just cancelled tomorrow's eye test appointment after being called twice by this branch staff. Why they do this, I don't understand.I don't like to be harassed with questions, asked if I'll buy glasses off them or reminded I've had an eye test with them last year. Very poor customer service.

Excellent customer service is always provided, employees are friendly and looked after me well on what glasses to choose. Highly recommend!

It was my first visit . I was pleasantly surprised with everybody . Everybody was so friendly like Bev, very professional, kind and caring .I forgot all their names but they all were so lovely ! The optometrist was so professional too , he took the time to explain everything and made me feel at ease . I would highly recommend this place . Also the place is very clean , all COVID guidelines were in place too . I will definitely make this place my eye care facility for the future

Though all of Boots opticians that I have visited do a great service but the Northfield branch has poor customer service very unprofessional.
No care ner respect was expressed.
Total.
