I received a free eye test voucher from boots so I figured it is best to go as I haven’t been for years, so I have arranged an appointment online, which was very easy and straight forward. I also got a personalised text from them the day before my appointment just to remind me, which was great. I had visited them today and was greeted by the assistant Lynda who was very friendly and smiley then directed me to the waiting area as I arrived a tad early. After a short wait Lynda took me to the back where they perform the digital retinal photography, she was very informative with the procedure and also made me feel at ease at every step. Her service was exceptional and I really enjoyed chatting with her throughout the appointment. Then I continued the rest of the check up with Pranitha the optometrist, who was also very personable and professional, she listened to my concerns and put my mind at rest and also explained all the procedures in detail. I cannot comment on their prices as thankfully I didn’t need a prescription, but all I can say is that I was pleasantly surprised about the service I received today after reading about the previous google reviews. I would definitely recommend them based on the service, and thank you again for looking after me so well today.

Booked an appointment, turned up and was told the optometrist had cancelled all appointments but no one had bothered to tell me. Waste of my lunch hour, my petrol and a car parking ticket. Unprofessional and incompetent.

1st visit here & very impressed. Booked an eye test & free contact lens trial. Optometrist was very friendly & was very thorough with my tests. Daisy had the patience of a saint, showing me how to use the contact lenses. Word of advice, don’t wear false nails when having your trial!! The choice of specs were great quality & lovely designs, so treated myself to a couple of pairs.

I have been taking my daughter since she was able to read her alphabet. My daughter is wearing glasses and the optometrist recommended contact lenses as my daughter has myopia. The lenses helped to manage the shortsightedness. Overall, it has been a great experience everyone is friendly and reassuring.

Made an appointment after receiving a letter stating that I’m due an eye test. Then bombarded with calls and text messages either asking if I’m going to keep appointments, then for my appointments to be moved, then to have messages saying “see you tomorrow” when I didn’t have an appointment that day. Nobody is aware of the person calling before them. On arrival there is still some confusion over appointments. When trying to ask why there is so much miscommunication, I’m totally rudely shut down by the optician. Trying to keep my cool I manage to get through all the tests to only be told I’m not due a test for another year. No apology for misleading letter, just pure and utter arrogance. There seems to be only one member of staff, a tall young lady, who is polite but sadly hasn’t a clue what is going on as communication is poor. The others are rude and obnoxious. Maybe they feel certain customers don’t require good customer service, well that fine because I would never go there again. Shame on you as you’re carrying the Boots name, some good customer service training would be suggested.

The staff are lovely and professional, after receiving a thorough eye exam, the kind assistants help you pick out new frames without rushing your decision, and place your order in swiftly. Overall, a pleasant experience.

The staff and optometrist took their time in making me feel safe and informed of the procedures. I didn’t feel pressured in choosing designer glasses. The Boots brand frames seem to be stylish and good quality.

Horrible service. I went there for one appointment then switched to another Boots Branch. Not only did they not change my prescription in the database (and they didn’t even tell me my new prescription just told me it changed!), but the appointment wasn’t even logged in! It took a while to explain the situation to my new Boots Branch as they had no record in the database of anything that happened in this appointment whatsoever. Furthermore, they told my mum she had an appointment due so she booked it at the new place, only for the new place to tell us it was due next year and they gave us wrong information! She wasted her time at the opticians. Absolute waste of time.
