Boots Opticians

My glasses were broken at the store and when I went to collect the replacements they had only ordered had the frames!! No-one has called me and no-one picks up when I call. Next stop - Specsavers !!!

I was unfortunate to damage my specs whilst on holiday. When I explained to the staff it was no problem and was told it would only take a short time to rectify. Shortly I was brought my specs, mended cleaned and good as new.Brilliant service. Thank you to the team at Boots for such good customer support

Absolutely clueless. I went there approximately a month ago as I found a pair of glasses I liked. When I asked for a quote, I could see that the lady behind the till was monumentally insecure and was guessing. I was initially quoted £450, but when I asked, 'Are you sure?' she changed the quote to '£465' to be on the safe side. I knew it was utterly wrong as I didn't choose designer frames. I contacted the Guildford branch, and it was a completely different scenario. I was quoted £350 for the most expensive lenses. I made a complaint and was called after a few days by a withheld number that I obviously couldn't call back. A message was left on my answering machine saying that it was the complaints department and that they would have called me back. As you can imagine, it didn't happen. To add insult to injury, there were no apologies and no chance to explain. I keep thinking about what would have happened if I had paid the original price. It would have been a robbery in broad daylight. Boots' customer service is terrible.

I went into this opticians to get my glasses tightened and they ended up breaking the arm. They messed me around four weeks, saying they could get my frames to replace them then turned out they couldn’t and tried to conned me into buying a whole new set of glasses lenses through them. And would not indicate how much they would be willing to compensate towards them Boots in addlestone is so much better I think it’s disgusting that this particular store left a disabled person with broken glasses and only responded. When I repeatedly chased them. I would avoid with opticians like the plague, my single worst experience ever with an optician in almost 25 years of wearing glasses. It’s shameful that boots put their name to such a store. They are impossible to contact over the phone and only phone you back if you contact head office! Don’t trust this place with your glasses, I made that mistake. Accidents happen and that can’t be avoided. But they should be resolved when they do. It should also be noted that the office that all the stores are franchises which boots themselves doesn’t really have control over according to head office

Very slow and uninterested staff. It took them 2 months to finally get the prescription glasses for my boys ready. This is after 3 checkups and ordering the wrong set. Specsavers and Vision Express way better service. Give this one a skip if your time is precious.

Impossible to reach by phone. I have been trying for 3 days and I just get into a closed loop of messages

Tried all week to make an appointment for an eye test. Nobody answers the phone so I will have to go elsewhere. Boots in Guildford is the same. Great customer service. Not.
