Dr. Pau is an amazing GP and has really made my experience with the GP surgery great. She is caring, considerate, knowledgeable and a great doctor. I have also felt the receptionist to be very kind and caring and always tried to help even though I am sure they have been stretched with the impact of the pandemic and the fact the GPs are seeing more patients on average every year. I would have given this a rating of 5, but sadly I had a less than pleasant consultation with a GP who I felt was slightly dismissive of a health concern that had been seen by a specialist with a plan in place, but everyone has bad days. I think this is overall a good surgery.

Dr Phillps is the best. She is very lovely and listens to your needs. She even went out her way to phone me up when she wasn't doing the doctor call list that day. Not many GPs would do that at Parkbury house.
Highly recommend you see her 🥰

Trying to book an appointment is impossible. The ring back service does not work. Have now been number one in the queue for 28mins! Any email in enquiries made how best to make an appointment, just get an automated response, although the inbox apparently is monitored during working hours. You will need a doctor after trying to book and appointment here !

Grossly incompetent

Edit: changing two stars to just one, as two is far too generous for this place.

It's not the doctors faults, it's almost entirely as issue with their system and reception. It has taken my family sometimes well over 2 weeks to get an extremely(!!!) urgent blood test, for example.

They will hang up on you whilst in call queue.
When, and if, you finally get through, they will put you on hold and hang up there too.
It should not take an entire day to get on the phone with them.

Absoulutey Disgusting. I booked an appointment and got one after three weeks. Took a day off from work and right on the day of the appointment some really rude and ignorant lady called me and told me that you cannot book your appointment on the app and the only appointment you can book is for lady's cervical screening. I mean its death of all common sense. I was so angry i could not even shout. These sort of surgeries should be closed in the interest of public health.

Amazing surgery! The staff are awesome! Aman at reception always so helpful! Shelley the health care assistant is just a such positive energy and always manages to make me smile! DR Barrowman and DR O’brein have really helped me. All the other doctors are just as great! Have been with this pharmacy since I was born. Definitely recommend them

Spent 35 minutes on hold just to be told that I won’t get a call from a duty dr till tomorrow. Could understand if this was the afternoon but they finally answered at 9.20am. You could think that you have something minor which turns out to be major and you have a day delay as they filled todays duty call list yesterday. Why don’t they have more drs on the phones or make sure that the current days list is completed before they go home. We all have to put over time in sometimes.

I am currently a patient of the Surgery and I can say only very positive things about the staff there, except for one occasion when a Doc has been very rude with me.THe rest of them, I love them, they are so caring and loving! As soon as I’ve been discharged from the hospital they have followed through with phone calls and appointments to make sure I am doing well. It’s one of the first GP that are really concerned about overall well-being
