The Town Surgery

Every time I deal with the receptionists they’re incredible rude. Especially the older woman, she has no empathy nor does she speak proper English and as such a lot of miscommunication occurs. Mind you I’m a cancer patient and I need repeat prescriptions every 2-3 weeks and every 2-3 weeks it’s a struggle and me contacting them 4-5x via mail and phone to try and get my prescription filled!! Which always results in me not having my medication for days until they eventually check their emails. Incompetent, rude, no sympathy or empathy for sick patients. This person should not be working in a medical field!! Find yourself another GP, if you’re looking into this one

I've been registered with the Enfield Town Surgery since I moved to Enfield in 2016. I am very happy with the service I have received so far. Dr Alex has been very good at responding to my health concerns face-to-face or more on the phone recently - the new norm with GPs I guess. Nurse Kriistina has also been giving me useful advice. I feel that they listen to what you are saying and care for your wellbeing. Overall great job by Dr Alex and Nurse Kriistina. Thank you!

Meza the receptionist at this practice is racist, lacks interpersonal skills and is unable to relay simple information to patients. Such as alternative medical care options to patients when emergency appointments aren’t available for example. One of the younger drs at this practice abused his power and bullied me and my sick child out of the practice. He shouted at us: the nhs is crumbling don’t you watch the news? And he refused to give medical treatment to my child as she was suffering from temperature and a rash. Honestly, I am traumatised by what I experienced at this practice.

Absolutely put off by this practice to the point I have changed GP! The one old receptionist is very rude to deal with on the phone. As you call you already sigh knowing she’ll answer so rudely making you sound like a full. Do not join this surgery

Worst possible GP practice ever I think. Doctors are very good. But the receptionists are so rude probably identifies themselves as GPs just because they work at a GP, but they have forgotten they are just "RECEPTIONISTS".....!!!
If you are a parent with children, don't even think about registering here. Because the kids will have to make sure they plan ahead before they get sick as they are not considerate at all about emergency appointments for children.

I’m really surprised by the negative reviews. I’ve been registered at this surgery since I moved to Enfield around 8 years ago and I have always received excellent service and treatment here. I’ve never had to wait very long to be seen, diagnosed and treated/referred - even during covid when no one was being seen at other surgery’s I got an appointment. I’ve had 2 children during this time and they been very well looked after too. Other people I speak to mention how hard it is to make appointments with their gps and how long they have to wait to be seen and I always feel very fortunate with my gp.

If i could give no stars i would!!. Where do i start!. I believe the 5star reviews on here are fake because of the 4 years my daughter has been in this surgery i have never seen any competent practice here!. As described the receptionist has no clue what they are doing. They changed my daughters adress completely exposing her medical records to a wrong adress in Hackney not even in the area. We only found out when her prescription was printed out. Further the receptionist demanded we fill out a change of address form!. The receptionist does not understand English not her fault!. This surgery should be ashamed putting her inline of fire. English aside none of the receptionist have any competency, empathy or basic receptionist skills. In my experience Dr MT has been good and seems ok but again he is weighed down with work it appears. The nurse scared my daughters legs whilst vaccines were being given she is rude and was rough. Until this day the marks are still on her legs and we have had no apology from the surgery. I would definitely be changing surgery. I will also be reporting to the medical regulator. I regret joining this surgery for my daughter

This is an excellent doctors surgery. From the reception staff, to nurses and doctors - in particular Dr Alex - they have all been brilliant in helping with the health of me and my family. Nothing seems to much trouble, Dr Alex goes above and beyond for his patients and I feel very fortunate to have him as my doctor. Highly recommend.
