Abbey Manor Medical Practice

I have recently moved to Yeovil and as Abbey Manor was the closest doctors to me i registered with them. A week later i rang for an appointment and was told i wouldn't be able to see a doctor for 3 weeks but if i rang at 8.30 the following morning i should be able to see someone that day.
So at 8.30 i rang and tried to get through, 18 more times i rang, 3 times i was put on the hold, but this went on for over twenty minutes so i would hang up and try again. When i finally got through 40 minutes later i was told there were no appointments available and i would have to go through the whole thing again the following morning and each morning until a appointment was available. Needless to say i have left their practice and found a much better practice where i could get a appointment the very next day !!!

I wrote a formal complaint (as a last resort). Before doing this and for over a month afterwards I have been trying to speak to the surgery manager. I have phoned around 10 times possibly more, during the past 4 weeks. Each time the surgery manager isn't available to talk to me and I've been assured that the message will be passed on and she will return my call by the end of the day. I am yet to receive a call. I have also sent a couple of emails that have been ignored.

Diamond Health Group, please don't respond with the 'contact the surgery manager' standard reply to negative reviews. I have been relentlessly trying for well over a month, it's impossible! Apart from being unprofessional, it is downright rude.

We used to be very impressed with our surgery. Then they merged with hendford lodge and everything fell apart. It’s impossible to get a call back let alone a dr app. And don’t imagine you’ll be able to book your smear within a month of calling to book it- you just won’t. It’s a bit of a mess now.

If your lucky enough to get an appointment in the same month, then you are doing well. Then there`s the possibility that they will give you an appointment at Hendford, only to arrive & find out that they are none the wiser as to why you are there, then have to wait another month for a test. Beyond a joke.

Only giving one star because i can't give no stars . Filled in a complaint form on October 1st should reply in 28 working days it is now August 5th the Practice Manager Sian Edwards must only work 1 day a month. Had to go to hospital on June 6th they have written to the Surgery recommending i get a referral but they have taken no action

This surgery closed in 2020, but Diamond Health Group still claim it's open. There is no Doctor's surgery on the western side of Yeovil now.

Unfortunately I cannot comment on the level of service the GP's offer as weeks later I'm still trying to get an appointment.

The practise only accepts on-the-day appointments, and they treat their patients like it's a game, where you have to call at 8:30am to try and get an on-the-day appointment, first come first serve. If you call at that time and all appointments are taken, too bad, try again next time is all they have to say. It's as if they believe people's health in nothing to be taken seriously.

I've been sat at the phone every morning for weeks trying to get an appointment at 8:30am but somehow every appointment gets taken as soon as the time strikes.

It's cruel. Simply, cruel.

It's a shame there is no ombudsman to report to as I'm sure he'd have a field day with this place.

I have been trying to get an appointment for over two weeks the website when I try and log in my site is insecure and doesn’t offer any suggestions to fix this issue, I have been told not to call as this is for emergencies only. It’s incredibly frustrating and all I want to do is see a doctor. I am shocked by just how poor this practise is . I will be leaving this practise and I recommend others to do so .
