Brunswick Health Centre

I don't understand the negative reviews here, as they certainly don't reflect my experience of this surgery. I find the GPs at the St Helen's Rd surgery very caring, efficient and supportive. Likewise, I've found surgery staff very helpful, polite and efficient. Having previously been a patient at a surgery which failed to help me with a number of health issues, I have nothing but praise for Brunswick.

Compared to other family members who are under different surgery’s, Brunswick Health Centre is by far the best. I will admit, that if you want to see a particular Dr. you might have to wait a day or two until that Dr is available, but if you wish to see any Dr, I’ve been lucky enough to sometimes have an appointment on the same day or at least the next day. I have been with the sister ( smaller Hafod Surgery) all my life, 62 yrs and would never change. The bad reviews I have seen by other contributors, quite honestly, they shock me ! I think everyone can have an off day, the receptionists do a great job, dealing with, sometimes “difficult” patients, I think there needs to be mutual respect between both parties and a polite way of speaking to each other.10/10 for me !

I am surprised that there are any negative reviews. I am a very critical type of patient and quick to criticise a doctor if I think the service is less than professional or deficient in some way. I think the Brunswick Health Centre is the best I have ever encountered. The staff and nurses are incredibly helpful as are the doctors. No problems to get an appointment. I have no criticisms whatsoever.

I have never once phoned this surgery and had what could be described as remotely positive conversation. You have to battle the army of receptionists to do their job, they argue about your own medication that you have been taking for years, don't get back to you when they say they will, relay incorrect information to the doctors causing issues with prescriptions. The list of excuses is never ending

Not a good place to go to. Reception staff very rude and horrible. One of the GP's is a totally uncompassionate and unprofessional. Badly managed and disorganised. Don't register with this surgery, otherwise you'll end having to find another surgery to register with. This is the worst surgery I have been with.

Very rude receptionist with horrible customer service, she had already made her mind up that she was not going to try and listen to my query to even then point me in the right direction/advice me appropriately. Even the manager was a lot more pleasant when I was passed onto her.

Have been with this surgery for over 40 years
Most of the ladies on reception are lovely, one has a bad attitude, never smiles,have even seen her eye rolling. It's a pity as it reflects on the whole surgery.

Called to make an appointment on monday and told me someone or doctors will ring back untill Friday nothing happens and called again Friday morning at 8:00 am told the same untill now 13.18 still waiting that mean they are already ignoring shame if somebody want to calling this centre properly better call 111 or 999 same 😩
