We went to the Green Man Pub at Inglewhite Preston last Thursday for a meal. We both had a Battered Goats Cheese Starter. I had a Steak Pie and my boyfriend had a Chicken Burger. Very good value as was half price with a food special offer on Thursday and Friday which I think they are still offering if you book before Wednesday night. Well worth a phone call to check.

This is a really nice pub in the beautiful Trough of Bowland. The staff were excellent on my visit and I really enjoyed the Steak and Ale pie. This place is well worth a visit if you're in the area. I'd come again.

Absolutely lovely place.

Stopped off for something to eat with the other half. Don't even know where to start.

I can safely say it's the cleanest place we've stopped for food in recent months .. not a cobweb or spec of dust in sight.

Greeted with a warm friendly welcome by one of the owners Kim I think it was. Lovely lady very personable and definitely the hostess with the mostest.

Starters: we had the goats cheese and the pate .. the goats cheese was lovely and light and fluffy. Pate was delicious not to strong and a good bread to pate ratio.

Mains: We sampled the pies from the specials menu I had chicken, ham hock and shallot pie and the fella had haggis and beef .. both were very tasty, the pastry just melted in the mouth. I don't even like haggis but I loved the pie.

We also tried the beef Sunday roast and the BBQ pork which came with coleslaw, chips and salad. The beef was lovely and tender, really well cooked. Loved the little bowl of side veg that was brought out with it .. the parsnips and cauliflower tasted devine.

Bbq pork cooked well again knife slid through the pork. The coleslaw was really nice and the home made chips were tasty.

Beautiful place, amazing staff, tasty food. Amazing afternoon, looking forward to going back and sampling the Autumn menu

Thanks for a lovely afternoon kim

Only one vegetarian option on Sunday which was a small cheese and onion pie with fries, coleslaw and some salad.

Chicken breast for roast was tough. Would have preferred chicken leg.

There was no menu so had to go by staff descriptions.

Couple of roast potatoes which tasted nice but also tasted deep fried like chips.

Pork, beef that others had was better than chicken by far.

Cauliflower didn't have much cheese sauce.

Veg was a bit cold.

The execution of the cooking seemed off and I'm not sure the barbecue theme works for us ... for a Sunday roast. Others may like it.

Staff were friendly and facilities good.

Dog friendly.

Sorry to be a negative.

I never really write reviews but think this place deserves one. Been coming here for the once or twice a year for the last 3-4 years. And can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience. Last night me and my partner had a meal she had the homemade cheese pie which was just amazing as always and I had a steak the 20oz rump, I’m always a-bit apprehensive about ordering a steak but I thought I would give it a go. Wow I wasn’t disappointed cooked to perfection the best iv had in a long time. The staff can’t do enough for you there a great set of lads and the owner is a really nice bloke as-well made time to have a chat at the bar. Overall a reet good night thanks guys.

You will leave The Green Man a very happy chappy after eating their gorgeous home cooked delights. The steak and ale pie was succulent as was the haggis. The service was a little slow but overall I enjoyed my lunch. Hats off to the chef!

Called in for the first time for a family get together dinner. Amazing choice of pies. The lady (owner) who served us was good fun and seemed to enjoy the necessary banter..

Everybody enjoyed their pies. The roasted vegetables that came as a shared dish was amazing and plenty of it to. So much so that I took the decision to ask to take the veg home.

Really nice experience all round. Would definitely come here again just for the veg. Also dog friendly which is nice for us as we have a puppy.
