Haywain Brewers Fayre

Our First Visit here. Came here as it was the only place with availability for the 'Eat out to help out'. Further then I normally travel, but worth the time. You are greeted by a very friendly gentleman, who took my car reg for the parking. He showed us to our table and explained how it all works (covid 19 rules). Our drinks order was taken quickly and enough time was given for us to choose our meals. When they came the look great. See photos. The food was really good, if I was to be critical, they toast the children's burger bun. This makes it too hard for children the really bite into. My mixed grill was very nice, again if I would to be critical, I asked for a medium steak, I felt it was more medium rare. This is just me, this may be how some people do 'medium' take a look at the photo below and see for your self. Otherwise the chicken was very moist the eggs runny and the sausages juicy. A lovely meal with very friendly staff. Social distancing measures in place and clean. Will be back in the future.

After a long day sightseeing in London we stopped at Haywain en route to our campsite. It was late and we wanted a nice quiet pub where the family could refuel. Having received an email earlier in the week about half-price burgers after 6pm on weekdays at Brewer's Fayre we decided to give it a go. My wife and I had a cheeseburger and chips, my eldest daughter (who is vegetarian) had the Garden Burger and our youngest had the three-course children's menu choices.we also all had refillable soft drinks and the whole lot came to £34. It was good food and fantastic value. The offer is on until August 31 so if you fancy a burger on a weekday in the next few days, get yourself down there.

Nathan was absolutely wonderful. That’s where the good parts end. It’s incredibly unprofessional to scold your staff ON THE RESTAURANT FLOOR in front of other customers in any situation, especially not when it isn’t their fault and even more so on their third shift. Our whole dinner experience last night was nothing less than a shambles and someone needs to take a long hard look at the way this place is run because it was chaos. Cannot fault Nathan for doing the best they could given the circumstances, and staying positive, respectful, and upbeat regardless. A real personable character that will go far in hospitality (despite deserving much better!).

Shocking food and service. 2 adults and 1 child visited for dinner, the child ordered pizza which was accepted but then we were told they didn't have any so did we want chicken or fish, we ordered fish which when arrived was just a few fish balls, no chips, when we queried thus the response was "you want chips?" well we paid for them. One adult meal was gammon, when it arrived half of it was grey and looked off, they had tried to hide this with a fried egg, this was sent back and replaced, no apology.

We had already paid for breakfast the next day so went in, the choice was poor for the cooked breakfast and the bowls were dirty with dried cereal still attached to many of them, more than 50%.

I would never return here.

I almost don't want to write this review as i reckon this is the BEST carvery secret about! Really generous plate full,
all 3 meats, all veg, crispy roasties!!! good gravy etc etc... 2 adults one kid 2 pints 3 carveries £33! wow.. prob would have given it a 5 star for value and quality, but the building leaves a bit to be desired and the loos were pretty bad. BUUUT excellent service and food (and beer).

Really enjoyed myself, nice food. Few mishaps with the orders but there was 6 of us to deal with. Pretty cheap considering the meal quality, will be booking a evening out for me and my partner as it's a nice atmosphere inside and the staff are friendly and accommodating.

It's a good and simple all rounder. Had put Christmas do there and for 13.99 for three courses you can't complain. The place is looking a little tired and drinks are a bit pricey but over all it's a good cheap and easy meet after work spot and is usually quiet. Staff are friendly and approachable.

Xmas meal today was excellent and great value. Such a large portion too. We were impressed with prawn cocktail and turkey dinner. Service efficient too
