Had breakfast & dinner here on two days. The food is just as you expect from this chain and the premises are spotlessly clean & staff friendly and helpful.
The downside is that we were refused entry on our second night (for drinks only) as a total of 12 of us wanted to use the bar and you can't use the bar if you're not buying food! This is most bizarre & doesn't happen at the two Brewers Fayre locations nearest to me. Ironic as of the 12 in the party, eight of us were staying in the adjacent Premier Inn.

It quite spoiled our second night and made us wish we had spent our collective money elsewhere, so the verdict is that it's OK but there are better choices locally I'm very sorry to say.

Food was fairly shocking tasted like it had been under the heat lamp since October, The ice cream was ok enough i suppose gets 2 stars, for, one because it’s cheap AF with a meal deal and 2 the guy front of house was super enthusiastic and trying his best to be positive in a what is an awful franchise restaurant.

The staff have always been most friendly and helpful to me and all other guests ever since I first had meals there about two and a half years ago.
Today, with prior notice of my choice of food, they even made sure that it was ready for me to eat at 12 noon so that I could have time to spare before a booked taxi 🚕 would arrive to get me to the train station for the 13.00 train 🚆 to Cardiff and hence to my home.
I have had breakfast, dinner and one lunch here.
My lunch on Saturday 23rd April absolutely warranted a photo.

Went here (BF Barry Island) on Sunday evening & had our dinner. The food beef & ale pie was beautifully tasty. It was cooked well, came with creamy mash & meaty gravy (very rare) & my friend said the stacks burger was really good but what I was really surprised by the staff. Joshua was really helpful & friendly & you felt like he actually cared about what you thought about the company & Tom was friendly too & gave off the same vibe like it wasn't "just" a job.
Would recommend.

Visiting Barry for my wife’s birthday and booked evening meal for when we got to the hotel. You always expect an ‘OK’ level of service from a large chain. Not the case here. All staff were genuinely friendly and happy while providing efficient and prompt service. All members of staff were so good and looked like they enjoyed their jobs. They even dealt with a awkward customer next to us (complaining about a missing grilled tomato! Which A) is gross anyway and B) calm down it’s a tomato!) with empathy and understanding. What a lovely experience. All great again for breakfast in the morning and when we popped in for a cheeky pint. Well worth a visit. Thank you.

Decent enough place for pub grub. Pie trio is lovely but very limited options for vegetarian and vegan.
Staff are lovely but seemed a little understaffed at bat on last visit. Not their fault ...could have just been busier than expected.
Good for families as lots of space and kid friendly.
