By far the best fish and chips I have had in years - fresh fish , crispy batter and Super Hot - amazing, keep up the excellent cooking

Called in while on a camper road trip, food average, but our gripe is cash only, not an issue, if there were signs to this effect before you come to pay, but it is when you pull out your card, no cash in your wallet, and the guy says sorry cash only 🙄

Only ordered sausage and chips & told it would be a 15 min wait. Finally served after 25 mins but the chips served were almost mashed together. Looks like a problem with the fryer possibly not hot enough to cook items individually. Lots of people waiting for ever to be served. I'd rather spend a bit more on diesel and go to Newtown or Welshpool.

Fish, chips and mushy peas completely ruined by an ocean of sloppy peas poured right across the fish reducing it to a unappetising mess. Took it back and was told that was what I ordered. Customer service very poor. Had to pay for a fresh order with separate peas in a tub which took ages to be delivered.

Only other establishment in town that was open was the post office/cafe where the only member of staff was discouraging customers from ordering food as she was trying to run the post office.

Lesson learnt; if you want food, go to a different town!!

Great little chippy in the centre of Montgomery. The food was freshly cooked and piping hot. There are benches outside to sit and eat. I'd definitely eat here again.

Often freshly cooked to order, well loved and used by the locals. Always reliable and great quality.

Didn’t get given my change from the order, food was well overpriced, waiting time was horrendous, and portion size is a joke, photo attached of a ‘large’ portion of chips, would highly recommend not visiting this place
