Tapi Carpets & Floors

Helpful in store but during installation the fitter caused damage to our newly decorated walls, stairs and skirtings despite several requests to be careful. Customer service claim the cracking along the length of our stairs only visible after the fitter had left was not down to him. I will not use Tapi again... their competitors offer free fitting and, from previous experience, they do not damage your property!

My partner and I found the service in the Guildford store extremely poor. The staff were very unapproachable and kept making jokes to each other whilst we were trying to purchase flooring. They made us feel as if we were a burden to them. We did not make our purchase with them and went with carpet right next door in the end as they were much more professional.

I haven't had a great experience with this company or their fitters. I chose the carpet/colour required and received a quote for everything that was required following a site survey - including all fitting. Communication was really poor regarding fitting. My neighbour met the fitters and gave them access to the property. They pretty much immediately demanded an additional £120 and stated that if full payment, including the additional £120, was not agreed to they would leave. My neighbour is over 80 and felt v intimidated. At the time I was in my daughter's primary school leaving assembly whilst also dealing with numerous demanding texts. I asked the fitters to contact Tapi - who had already quoted based on a site survey, the fitters refused, saying that was nothing to do with them and I must pay the additional or they would leave - so I just paid. The mess they left was shocking. I did write to Tapi who just responded to say they had looked around at the end of the job and it wasn't too bad. In my opinion it was truly awful. I will never use this company again.

I had the misfortune of using Carpet Right for the rest of the house but switched to Tapi for our last room. Total perfection start to finish. Really good customer service and couldn't recommend more. Carpet Right was so terrible, I had little hope, but Tapi was easy, really polite and I would use again should we need anything further. Fitters were also lovely.

Such an unwelcoming store . Came in and tried to find a memeber of staff to help me as I was ready to purchase one of the rolls that are ready to take home . The lady said she will get someone. After waiting 10 minutes later no one came , I walked out and purchased my carpet from online carpets instead

Fantastic experience today with Tapi. As I entered the store I was met with clear signage outlining the precautions they're taking to make it safe in store. Plenty of hand gel and even had masks ready if needed. I was greeted by a very polite member of staff who let me in and guided me through my initial enquiries. I was given time to browse with everyone willing to help answer questions as I went about my visit. Whilst I am not quite ready to order the member of staff did explained the whole process and offered to send out an estimator, free of charge, to measure up. There was no pressure, plenty of options and very reasonable prices. Once I'm ready to order I will definitely be using Tapi!

The staff at Tapi Guildford were very unapproachable and unprofessional. No greeting (not the end of the world, but basic courtesy?). All sat down tapping away on laptops and no one around to ask questions to.

When I asked for a quote, it felt like I was bothering them and was handed a scribbled note on with a price. Felt like it was just made up!! I then asked for some advice on carpets and was just pointed towards the corner of the store.

There was only one other couple in store when we arrived, so not busy, and all three members of staff all sat down heads down.

Ended up buying our flooring in Carpet Right. Far better customer service and experience.
