Duncan's Chicken

We have heard a lot of good things from Duncan's chicken so we decided to support a independent business rather than a chain. We had to call the restaurant to get an update as to our food because they hadn't updated Just Eat (which we used) and it had been just over an hour so we were concerned (We are only a mile away). The lass was lovely though, when food did arrive it was on the cool side of warm, the chips were divine and the amount of sauces and salt and hand wipes was more than enough. However the chicken wasn't that flavoursome and the sauces the same (but they appear bought in so cannot blame the store). I don't think we'd get from here again from our experience

I have to start this by saying absolutely beautiful, this isn't my first time at duncans chicken, AND IT WONT BE MY LAST. They make the best chicken and chips going, the coleslaw is to die for and the gravy is out of this world! ill put my life on that you will love it. You might see some bad reviews, but those people simply dont understand the fact that we are all using takeaways due to the current situation so on any given day they can have well up to 30 orders, so please be patient with them! thank you for the great service and food guys (42) ( we normally use justeat but have order over the phone to.) No thank you for doing your best to feed us 😁🤤😊

Not great. Ordered 3 pieces of chicken with fries. Expected to get different pieces of chicken. Was unpleasantly surprised to receive 3 thighs ! Also chicken was over cooked, on the burnt side to taste. Taste generally was low and well below very competent rivals. And.....it was just a tad over luke warm on arrival. Chips with skins on was a good portion in size and respectable.
Best bit of meal was the can of sprite........the next day after it was chilled.
Above might sound a bit harsh but true I’m afraid.

The gravy is the best!! So much better than KFC!!

Excellent food, wonderful staff, highly recommended. Eaten from here 3 times and will be again soon. Prices are great too, easily affordable for anyone.

We really enjoyed this chicken. Very tasty and well cooked. Much better than any other chicken we have had here previously
