Simon at Crescent Funeral Services was recommended to me. He looked after my father’s funeral, and I unhesitatingly recommend him myself.

Empathetic, thoughtful, and caring, Simon gently guided us through every step, understanding our requirements, making helpful suggestions, and foreseeing every eventuality.

All aspects of the service Simon provides are painstakingly thought out to provide the best possible care and support for families in a difficult situation. The comfortable and calm premises, the staff for whom nothing is too much trouble, the unobtrusive but meticulously efficient administration, the thoughtful details that show you are being treated as a valued individual, the utter respect for your loved one: they are all faultless.

It has been my pleasure to have known Simon for a number of years having dealt with the passing of friends and family on previous occasions.

The most recent was when he worked at another Funeral Director's in Taunton, called Nigel K Ford, which is now part of a larger concern.

I worried that I wouldn't be able to use Simon again, when I found out he had left and was, therefore, so relieved to find that he had set up his own independent business in the town.

His ability to understand and listen, picking up on the little things was always such a comfort and he continues to do this effortlessly.

His new business sums him up so perfectly - professional yet approachable and kind, whilst helping you to relax and feel conformable, giving you the space and time to face the choices and decisions you must make.

He has always helped my family get through the most darkest and challenging of times. Even when my sister died in Bristol, Simon went out of his way to ensure he took care of everything, often picking up on the smallest of details to adjust and organise everything to perfection.

Most recently, he drew on his previous experiences with us to guide us gently - remembering details that we had long forgot.

Whilst the grief and sadness cannot be removed, the journey faced can be made to feel that little less frightening and more bearable by placing your trust in him. It is trust placed with confidence.
