One star is generous, they deserve zero. Appalling service after store purchases of nearly £3K. Delivery date booked and reassured all items were in stock, then delivery delayed and we find out only a few pieces are even in the country. Managed eventually to get delivery of our bed and bedside cabinets (only part of the order, the rest had 4 further dates provisionally booked) and when they arrived...bedside cabinets very badly damaged, even the delivery drivers were shocked and the bed has the wrong slats so unable to be assembled. We were told on a lengthy call that no delivery date for replacement was available. No need to think about it any further, we cancelled the entire order and got a full refund. Disgraceful, they take your money and simply cannot deliver. Run a mile, do not go near! We have since found a smaller company with a 7 day delivery.

This review relates to the Marsh Mills store and just to be clear, one star is more than generous. If you are thinking of ordering furniture from here, think again. We have never come across such appalling service. We had a positive initial experience in the store with a knowledgeable salesman and left with a delivery date which we were assured would be honoured as the goods were 'in the country'. We then had an update on this date - our goods were still on the boat and hadn't reached port yet so rescheduled for a further month. We were also advised that the ship was unable to port which we were sceptical about feeling that it was an excuse. Following several phone calls - holding on the phone each time for close to an hour - updates were given for each part of our order and each time the delivery dates were extended further. Finally, today, after insisting that the items that were in the country were delivered separately from the remainder of the order, the van arrived. The bedside cabinets were damaged beyond repair, boxes damaged so badly that we were surprised they were even put on to the delivery van, the best word to describe these was 'trashed'. The guys who delivered were polite and to be honest, looked as disgusted as we were when they saw the damage. On to the bed, the guys were upstairs building it as we had paid for premium delivery, then called us as there was a problem with it. The slats were not the correct ones for the bed so that too was useless. The driver managed to contact customer service who suggested that we keep the bed frame and they will try to get the correct slats - they could not confirm that these were in the country or when this could be corrected. Not wishing to become a 'free warehouse' for this company we firmly rejected the bed along with the rest of the order - nearly £3000 paid in cash at the time of purchase, and requested an immediate full refund. Never, ever use this company, they will take your money and simply don't care beyond that point. The salesman either wash over the fact that the furniture is not in the country or simply do not know. We now await our refund and fear that bankruptcy may not be far away for this company. I fail to understand how they can trade in this way.

Appalling Service
10 years ago we had a good experience of buying from this company so didn't worry about going back for more. How wrong we were: Ordered in September 2021 and expecting delivery in January, postpone until February, postponed until March and now postponed until April. Have tried phoning but refuse to be kept on hold for any length of time. Contacted on Friday via messenger and got a request for the order number and have heard nothing since despite daily reminders that I am still waiting.

We ordered bedroom furniture in August 2021. Told there was a 16 week delay, seemed a little long but went with it. Since then we have had 4 delivery dates and now told the items are still on water! Tried to follow up with customer services but were faced with rude dismissive staff, that was after a 2 hour wait to get through. Instore staff are merely 'Delboy' sales people. This company is consciously incompetent and we will not use again.
To give you an update. There has been no refund as promised over a week ago. They are due to collect the one item they did deliver, albeit late, tomorrow. Unsure if all money eill be refunded in one go as customer service are either not clear or lie.
Will add more as this progresses.

Excellent customer service in store.

However, head office appalling delayed my furniture twice and had to change it. They Called myself up 3 days prior to delivery to re arrange for another 4weeks due to stock.

Was told by the salesman I would get a full refund if the furniture would not fit into the room, which it did not, but 5 minutes after the driver left I had a call saying there would be a deduction of £75 from my refund and directed me to the small print on the invoice. They actually deducted £184 and I have spent a lot of time trying to get it resolved. Never going to purchase from them again.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. We ordered a sofa in August, with a promised date of 14th November which was cancelled. We’ve had our delivery cancelled twice without being told since. I’m self employed so need to take time off work to wait for my order. Spend your money somewhere else!!!!

Went to buy 'art decor' from Exeter shop yesterday. Told it will take 6 weeks and must be delivered to home address. Just went to order and can't believe it will be delivered in Jan for a £9.99 fee. If I want it earlier it could be £69. This is ridiculous for a picture to go on the wall. So disappointed. Why not a £9.99 fee?
