As garages go, you can't get much better, shame it lost its car wash in the recent Waitrose upgrade though. Shell often is rated worth the best petrol, V Power, and now has the best mini supermarket, great staff, always clean & tidy.

This is a fantastic Shell garage. They've got the biggest court I have ever seen and the prices tend to be relatively good. They have a mini Waitrose inside which offers a rest room, alcohol selection, flowers, cards, general mini shop, hot drink counter, free cash machine and more. Very good garage with nice staff.

We hit a pothole on the main road which damaged our wheel and tyre. We managed to make it into the shell forecourt where we spent the next couple of hours waiting for recovery. The staff were very nice and let my wife, baby and I wait inside the shop and offered us hot drinks etc. When the tow truck was delayed they then let us leave the keys with them so we could get home and put our little boy to bed. Everything went smoothly with the tow truck in the end and the staff were great. I’m sorry I didn’t catch their names!

Why does this petrol station smell so bad!?

For the first time since I passed my driving licence in 1996, I forgot my means of payment after filling up.
I went to explain and the old grey haired man treated me like a criminal...!!!
Why would I announce that I'm going to rob their fuel, I would have just gone if that was the case.
I went back to pay (same day) and the small Indian chap was worse than the first man when I asked for the form back because it had been settled... Absolutely disgusting behaviour.

A strong letter to shell/ Waitrose of complaint has been sent.

I found myself with a flat tyre a hole in it to be precise, I was quite distressed as my car was near the exit and worried I was blocking way,
The staff in this garage were amazing helped me with my RAC online form and gave me a cup of tea to calm my nerves. I waited 2 hours for breakdown recovery, they were asking me if I was okay and if I needed anything when I left they gave me a bunch of flowers. I truly appreciated all they done to help me today thank you so much, I will always use this garage to fill up!

Fantastic shell and little waitrose. Reasonable prices, big forecourt and extremely helpful staff. Great place to stop off before the M25 and I can collect my John Lewis parcels there also.

Great petrol station with a huge forecourt, Waitrose being inside is a huge bonus, with great coffee available and collection of John Lewis parcels is a bonus. Staff are always friendly and welcoming
