I've been a regular customer here for years but oddily today cashier Partheepan strictly instructed me to empty my small trolley of groceries at the counter, he then called me back to return the trolley to storage. I stupidly did as told! But this has never happened before at this branch or any other. It is not a self-service store. But unjolly staff (at a quiet period) making customers do half their job must make them rather jolly. One laughs in shock!!

Easy to access forecourt, lots of pumps. Only thing missing is pay at pump. Asda mini supermarket and Greggs here.

Didn't have premium fuel only 95 Ron. Very expensive at that too. The hot choc was terrible also, murky water.
This is my go to service station, I am not local, (my local esso have unhelpful rude staff and makes me feel very uncomfortable) so when I pass on my journey every couple of weeks I always fill up with fuel at Sandy Lodge. The staff are so nice and friendly, service is always with a smile, which is why I choose to fill up here as they make me feel welcome.

During this madness for queuing up for diesel I visited many petrol stations, queued for hours only to find they had no diesel !! This petrol station had a notice of which pumps had run out, police to stop queue being jumped until it got past 9pm and then it was a free for all. But mainly they also were organised with signs to advise not to fill more than £30 to he fair to others. The only petrol station near Watford I could find with petrol and not a mile long queue. Well done for being fair and organised. Personally I didn't find the checkout that friendly but the service was there and moreover diesel was there so not a waste of time queuing like at the other stations. Thank you to the organised staff although hiking the price up 10p compared to the supermarkets was quite opportunistic so marks off and one star off for that, else would have given 5 stars
