It was good, a little pricey when compared to competitors, but thats probably more to do with cost of produce and me not being out in a while.
Otherwise, food was tasty and portion sizes were fair.
Service was very pleasant and staff were very friendly.

A decent pub in a pretty village. Took meals there 2 nights running as I was staying over in the pub accom. Pub food with a good beer selection. Recommend it.
The staff are friendly but all seem about 12 and are obviously required to wear logoed tee shirts.... which don't fit. Would have appreciated a traditional landlord and experienced bar staff. Clearly, that is a personal preference.
As for the accom, it's small converted rooms in the car park. Acceptable for a brief stay.

Booked 4 rooms for 2 nights. Our room was adequate, at best, no sign of any recent refurb. Dark and drab, not helpful that the bedside light had no access to power. Could have done without pictures of pugs everywhere. Food described as Gastro but predominantly pizzas and burgers, perhaps there was a different menu. No breakfast available which came as a surprise, told there were places in the village. We booked afternoon tea for 50 funeral guests and the staff were attentive and food was good.

After waiting for our food for nearly an hour, I was given an uncooked chicken burger. No apologies given however they did replace with a very over cooked version later.
Customer service was pretty much non existent, such a shame as used to love this pub!

A good selection of ales - usually around 4 on cask. Grainstore Brewery and nearby Langton Brewery are very good local fixtures. There's a lovely fireplace and a cosy atmosphere. The beer garden is very spacious and has a good dog-friendly policy. Overall, a very good village pub!

A very tidy country pub situated in a nice village, excellent choice of ales, lagers and fairly priced, buffet sandwiches cakes and scones were beautiful, would recommend this place and is certainly worth a visit.

Booked at short notice, staff opened a room for our party of six. Great food, wide choice, efficient yet unhurried service, good value, and a very good pint.

We sat near the open fire so it was nice and cosy. First time at this pub but would definitely visit again.
