The female staff member serving us was especially lovely. Thank you - such a hot day for working and moving about - we were made especially welcome.

Had my worst dining experience at this place. I ordered the bean chilli with sweet potato wedges and guacamole. When the meal came, the guacamole was a dark brown colour - old and rotten. I expected basic food already as I'm in the countryside and not in central London. However, I would never expect to be served a rotten component as part of my meal no matter where I am. To have to pay for a dog meal like that was the most indignant thing to have to do. My husband mentioned this to the waitress and she simply invalidated him, saying that perhaps they put something unusual in the guacamole to make it that colour. She said she would go and find out and then she never came back to say anything about it. They charged us for the meal regardless, without even a single apology. Foul service - both from the back and front of house. We will never return and will not recommend others visit this place.

Had a delicious lunch yesterday, what a treat to have a proper pub lunch, freshly cooked and prepared with great care which was a lovely surprise and made a welcome change. Yes we may have had to wait a bit longer, but I'd much rather that than have something put infrony of you that's obviously been prepared for some time and just heated up. Can't wait to return.
Thank goodness we still have proper pubs trying to keep going during these bloomin' difficult times. We are lucky to still have this pub, it really deserves people's support 👍

Pre-wedding dinner last Friday 14th, October. We received fantastic service from the staff at The Cross Keys, great atmosphere both inside and outside. While we enjoyed the night the food was just okay it could have been better presented.

Helpful staff, I had sausage and mash. Very nice!
But it looked a bit lost on the plate. 1 side of vegetable would have completed the meal.
Not value for money. And peas or something would have been nice.

Amazing food, amazing customer service. Had such a pleasant experience and would definitely return. Well priced for the portion size, sticky toffee pudding and the bangers and mash were to die for!

This is one of our new regular places, went there for the first time a few weeks ago and have now been three times. We have also booked xmas dinner. The staff, the food are great and friendly locals.
