Great pub. Very cosy atmosphere as they put lit candles (long stem in a bottle) in the windows. We ordered food which was good. Recommend this place.

Lovely atmosphere and very polite staff. Just a joy to be around. Really good food served in big portions.

Years since I've ventured into here, a very nice pub with an open fireplace. Went in for lunch and it was very nice and reasonably priced, they do a range of deals on food at lunchtime including fish and chips and a drink for £12.95 on Fridays as well as 2 for £15 on a small lunch menu. Staff very friendly

Pleasant seating and staff. No red wine available is not a sign of a well run pub.
Been left to run itself.

Now you are trying to tell me I am mistaken. In which case you should talk to your staff. They showed me two virtually empty bottles of wine and told me this was all there was. He then found two half bottles at £12.50 each. Don't tell me I was mistaken.Get your house in order!

Lovely roast dinner friendly staff great atmosphere

Disappointing full English breakfast and cheese omelette. One sausage, one bacon, one egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans, hash brown, white toast, worst breakfast in Hythe.
First omelette was burnt, but they did cook a replacement. Disappointing latte. Lager shandy fine.
Log fire very welcoming.

Nice place, a bit disappointed with the staek and ale pie, I couldn't taste the gravey cos much to much pepper.
