I don’t normally write reviews but I felt I had to call out this gem of a pub. The Horse and Radish is one of the most beautiful pubs I’ve ever been to with a lovely back garden and views over the fields. We had one of the best Sunday roasts I have ever had and the service was exceptional. It is a family run business and you can really feel the heart and soul that’s gone into the pub. It is on the slightly pricier end of the ‘pub Sunday roast scale’ but it is absolutely worth it. Would highly recommend going and I will absolutely be revisiting if I am ever back in the area. We just wish we were closer so we could come more often!

This is our third visit to the Horse and Radish. People that have read my reviews before know I only go back if it's good. And the Horse and Radish is better than good. Exceptional friendly service, excellent food, an amazing setting and managed brilliantly. Could not ask for more. Don't just go here if you're passing, go out of your way to book. You will not be disappointed.

We went for Bank Holiday lunch and it was fantastic, above everything else the attitude of everyone working there was second to none. So helpful, exceptionally friendly, nothing was any trouble and we left feeling like we’d been really valued as customers!
The food was excellent, it’s beautifully furnished and laid out, the prices were surprisingly good value and the views outside were lovely. A real and unexpected treat. We’ll definitely be going again soon and would recommend to anyone looking for something a bit special. Thanks Horse and Radish team, see you again☺️

First time we visit this place, since it was named as Horse & Radish, as there was many previous ownership of this place, which is shame, as I have attended this place many times over the years and never found any fault.

Location of this gastro pub is in an excellent place - on a sunny day (and warm) it has the ideal outside area behind this pub, and is decorated with pergolas, sails and various shade to enjoy the wonderful Windrush Valley.

Back to the food and drink, drinks were adequate, and lunchtime menu was of reasonable selection, I.e starters, sandwiches, and gastro menu. We opted for Homemade pie with mashed potatoes and greens, the pie is beef with Stilton and mushroom, with a small jug of jus - delicious!

Just one disadvantage, hence the 4 star and not 5 - service charge is 12.5% and is added to the bill - just not the usual 10%.

Do enjoy the location of this lovely pub!

This family run place is amazing. Our lunch was delicious, the staff was amazing and the dogs are part of the family (our kids played with them in the backyard waiting on food). The views were beautiful from the back yard over the rolling hills. Great for sunsets too!

Super pub. We went for Christmas Day lunch - always a big test for a pub. We thought that the H&R maintained its pub atmosphere well while serving a substantial and sophisticated multi-course meal. The food was excellent, service was very good and there was a table entertainer also. Good range of beers. Well recommended.

Visited last night for NYE and was blown away by the atmosphere, food and attentiveness of all the staff. They made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make our meal memorable. A huge thank you to all of the staff, especially the owners who took the time to personally introduce themselves and made sure we were happy!
The food was spectacular, and the presentation was stunning, everything was home made and we couldn’t fault a thing. Worth every penny!
