The Countryman Pub and Dining

Excellent food, great portions and great value for money. Went on a Tuesday night, which turned out to be steak & soul night so we had a great soundtrack to our meal 🙂 Staff were incredibly polite and friendly- wish we'd discovered this place sooner and will be coming back again.

We decided to go here due to the reviews and that it is dog friendly.
The dog friendly is only in the garden at the rear and not the restaurant inside.

Firstly the website does not do this place justice, the wire looks a like tired and doesn't show off the fantastic menu.

The pub is lovely, clean and very welcoming. So too are the staff, they were all very pleasant even though it was very busy.

Service was swift and our waiter knew the extensive menu off by heart including the wide range of daily specials.

Meals were plentiful and reasonably priced.
Drink selection is also good, including non alcoholic options for drivers.

Will happily go back.

I enjoyed a birthday meal out with friends. The freshly made food was delicious. The server Jessica was lovely and polite.

Simply the best food without a doubt in this area all food is locally sourced and delicious.The staff are friendly and polite they are always eager to help.
If you haven't tryed this place I would highly recommend a visit you wouldn't be disappointed.

Was recommended this place and I’m so glad I came. Lovely chilled vibe, warm, lovely cold beer and nice wine and ace food. I didn’t have to quibble to get a beautiful local steak cooked blue. Barman really nice and kind and made me realise how much I miss the north and the humour and friendliness. Such a nice place. If I lived here I’d be getting my wages paid directly behind the bar! 😀 Thank you!

We visited for a family Christmas meal, the staff were friendly and helpful. The meal was served hot and in good time, we were neither waiting nor rushed. The food was hot, well cooked and presented. Typical festive seasonal vegetables, ok but not the best.
The family's favourite course was the desert, gluten free lemon cheesecake and apple & mincemeat crumble with custard.

Large Family Christmas Fayre Menu for 9 people... and I just wanted to review this beautiful public house/ restaurant just because credit, were credit is do... All the food from start to finish was lovely 😍 .. piping hot , all meats cooked to perfection...
